Iraola interview the other night was interesting, he mentioned Frimpong and the Greek scouser were not happy they were not starting matches, and he understands their frustration. It makes me think AI said that to give them a warning on their behaviour maybe they are not giving out the right impression in the changing rooms or the training pitch. I think both will be moved in the very near future and possibly Gravenberch as well he does not look happy.

but why should they be happy? i'd rather them to buckle up and show they can do it. there's no indication it was expressed in a negative way, unless i'm reading it wrong i guess, which i may be.

I'd certainly rather them not being happy to be sitting on the bench than doing cart wheels. I mean you're a professional footballer, you want to play? The only way to change that is thru training and seizing the opportunity when it comes.

I'm also surprised they think they should be starting games. Maybe Frimpong because we have no other recognised RB but he's done nothing defensively to prove he deserves that spot.
Tzimikas hasn't pulled up any trees here or with Roma either.

Absolute tosh to have a moan about two players you don't like for no reason, why would they be happy?? I'd be concerned if they are happy to sit and do nothing.

Hmm. Warming up against Atletico Frimpong was laughing joking and dicking about, looked pretty happy to me, maybe a little too happy for a guy who's been very average since joining Liverpool
Fullback is a massive problem area for us. But I do like Ronald, top player.

I hate this kind of criticism. You might not like Frimpong or Tsimikas' ability, but why stretch that into a character assassination?
It's what I disliked about the abuse given to Slot. By all means criticise the guy for poor tactics and failing to motivate the team, but so much of the criticism descended into slurring him as a man: the jibes about Ibiza, being bald, being Dutch etc.
Sure, he lost his way and the dressing room - but let's not denigrate the man who won us a very rare title.

1+1=5 They are both professional, international standard footballers and they want to be playing. They are, according to our coach, disappointed that they are not starting games. As has been said, they should b3 disappointed and they should be doing something at training to force AI to start them in games. End of story really,

What does that actually mean. Example.
"Hey boss, I am not happy being on the bench, I will work hard to make you think about starting me more"
Different from
"I am not happy being on the bench, you are all a bunch of so and sos and I want a new club "
As many posters have alluded to, the first one is more than acceptable.

Well I'm happy. the boss has decided players aren't good enough to start and need to show some fight. as a fan when you know players aren't good enough it's refreshing to see the manager take the action a fan would take. Frimpong, Tsimikas, Kerkez, Gravenberch are very lucky the squad is paper thin else they wouldn't even make the bench.
Wirtz only plays because of the lack of alternatives and his huge transfer fee, else he'd be benched as well. I trust in Iraola and once he's had 2 more windows to shift sub standard players out we will improve no end.

Frimpong is just a natural joker and that has no bearing on whether or not he's happy with the performances having been poor. A cursory glance through the interweb shows what a nutter he is - every dressing room needs a few. Don't be such killjoys. ?.
