Tsimikas to Roma on loan, he's on his way for his medical.
29 Aug 2025 19:35:38
Wrong decision. Should have been Robertson.
Hope when Robertson contract ends next year, we can bring back Tsmikas to cover.
29 Aug 2025 19:40:08
Right decision Robertson is one of the best left back in the world.
{Ed025's Note - was..
29 Aug 2025 19:42:13
Owen beck will compete with kerkez next season.
29 Aug 2025 19:42:32
absolutely not, Kerkez needs someone to learn from and there's none better than Robbo.
29 Aug 2025 19:49:47
Right decision.
Robbo is one of our leaders, and is still a very good LB. The fact he got played so much last season indicates to me that Slot agrees that Robbo is the better option to stay than Tsimikas.
Saying that Tsimi is also a decent backup to Kerkez (albeit not as good imo as Robbo) so it is handy that he returns.
{Ed025's Note - he WAS a very good LB Zed..
29 Aug 2025 20:07:58
A poorer Robbo is still better than Tsimikas in my view. Need characters amongst the team too. And we always need Scot in the team when we win the league!
29 Aug 2025 20:19:28
Aznou? Mykky? Robbo? Who would you choose currently ?.
{Ed025's Note - certainly not Robbo mate, he WAS a very good player but his legs have gone im afraid and is now a liability, but he had a good run and won a few things so all power to the fella, old age comes to all of us and when you get beaten down the wing by a Tortoise then its time to pack in.. :)
29 Aug 2025 20:36:46
Get me whatever you’re smoking Kit Kat because Tsimikas better than Robbo? Haha.
{Ed025's Note - the two of them are like Hinge and Bracket now Frode, one gets sold and the other ends up in an old peoples home...its just life mate.. :)
29 Aug 2025 20:47:51
After Kerkez's performance in the first two games. A poorer Robbo (on good decent form) is a better and safer option than Kerkez. I know its early days and he's finding his feet and the team is finding a new shape and learning about the new additions, but Kerkez has been a liability so far. Hopefully there is a marked improvement and YES, there has to be an element of stick with the process.
29 Aug 2025 20:56:53
Starting LB for the Champions of 3 months ago ed? talk sense ed, not as good as he was but still a more than capable LB at this level.
{Ed025's Note - i beg to differ FM, he has been awful for the past year now mate and even your own supporters have been saying the same, but what i will say is he is not the worst left back in the world...that honour goes to Kirkez.. :)
29 Aug 2025 21:11:24
Ed025 Robertson is better than Tsimikas but both are not good enough. Tsimikas Never really was but Robertson was so good Tsimikas was ok for the very few games he was needed for.
But Robertson comes on for like 20mins against Bournemouth and there right winger scores to goals on counter attacks. I have said since before last season I thought both should go I was happy for Owen Beck to have stayed this season as back up but with was has come out last few days I think the club should be all over Hencapie to cover VVD and Kerkez.
{Ed025's Note - playing at the very top level is hard Grino and maintaining that standard for a number of years is even harder mate, Robbo was excellent for you but like all good things they come to an end, i would sooner he had gone out at the top rather than let his usefulness fizzle out and be labelled a liability when he plays, but maybe thats just me..
29 Aug 2025 21:12:50
Kerkez a liability Viva? Really? I know he’s not been brilliant, but liability?!
{Ed025's Note - he was being nice FF..
29 Aug 2025 21:26:40
I know he’s missed a step Ed but he put in a lot of good shifts last season, he’s a leader and still has a lot to offer, particularly for cup games.
{Ed025's Note - maybe Frode but i dont like all the stick he is getting from the fans mate...he deserves better than that..
29 Aug 2025 21:29:18
All 3. Robbo, Tsimikas and Kerkez are excellent players. At the top level the margins are fine, 1/ 2 a yard of pace, a dodgy turn, a tell in a tackle. LUCK. Not to mention if they're lucky enough to gel with team mates and complement each other. All 3 would do well at 2/ 3rds of the Prem clubs and most of the teams in EU leagues. Its a nice problem to have not a burden.
{Ed025's Note - have you ever heard of the 3 stooges VR.. :)
29 Aug 2025 21:31:46
Ed25 going on like he wouldn’t kiss his mother in law to have Robbo at Everton. And kissing was being nice.
{Ed025's Note - my mother-in-law is about the same level as Robbo now TJ, and she has been dead for 30 years mate..
29 Aug 2025 21:31:50
FF. Yes, 1 mistake . one given opportunity, that's the way it is.
29 Aug 2025 21:37:49
Does that free up a non-HG spot in the squad?
29 Aug 2025 21:47:59
Mo Larry and ummmm help me guys.
{Ed025's Note - curly..
29 Aug 2025 21:47:36
Tsimi has always been very average. Robbo was the world’s best left back for a couple of years.
{Ed025's Note - i wont argue with that ETP..
29 Aug 2025 22:40:45
Sorry Viva, disagree, could (and I’m sure will) do better, but liability is way too harsh.
29 Aug 2025 23:06:13
There was once a time when Robbo was still in his pomp, where people was asking for Tsimi to be our main LB.
Robertson has been an absolutely stupendous player for us on the pitch and off. Sometimes though a player’s race is ran and think sadly his is. I personally wanted him to get the Athleti move for a last few seasons at the top, however part of me wanted him to stay for his leadership and experience.
I think Tsimi is okay as backup and nothing more but as Ed01 has pointed out i believe it was anyway he loves playing for us. IMO that is why we are moving him on for a loan this season, as i believe Robbo departs next year and Tsimi comes back as second choice.
I don't think we wanted to risk letting too many off the core players go this summer. Especially someone like Robertson as said with his Experience.

"Won a few things" - he has won more in his time with Liverpool than Everton have over many decades.
In fact, sources inform me Everton’s long partnership with absence may now be formalised in retail.
Sources suggest exploratory talks have taken place between the club and IKEA regarding a bespoke item: the DISPLAY display cabinet. Unlike traditional models, this unit does not exist to house trophies, medals or memorabilia — it exists only to display itself.
Assembly is minimal. The frame arrives pre-constructed, no shelves required, no glass doors provided. Customers are instructed simply to place the cabinet in a visible corner, step back, and acknowledge its presence.
A small plaque affixed at the base reads: “Achievements: cabinet secured. ”.

0025 No am with find it silly to spoil the memories he has given us with holding on too long. He was finished a the very top level 2 seasons ago .
I always wanted Origi to be sold after the champions league final goal what a way to go he was never a the level but he would have gone at a perfect time after his best season a peak of his career.
{Ed025's Note - hes been great Grino and was an absolute bargain at £8m from Hull, hes had a very good career mate but now its time to call it a day before he ruins his legacy imo..
30 Aug 2025 00:36:24
Ed25. Being from donegal myself i am a huge Seamus Coleman fan. What a leader.
The lad doesn't have the legs to play in the league anymore, but my gawd what a sound, down to earth fella to have around the dressing room for lads coming in from abroad and young lads coming from the youth teams to look up to and set an example of what the club culture is.
Robbo was sooooo poor last season and unfortunately he doesn't seem to be able to compete at the same level as he did a few years back. but what a player to have around the squad. Nobody on here is saying he's going to be player of the season, but there is a place at all clubs for a top pro who will bleed for the club when its needed. Can spend all the money in the world lad but you can't buy what Robertson brings to Liverpool and respectfully what Coleman brings to Everton.
In my humble opinion of course.
{Ed025's Note - i think you are right Bmena, 2 real gems there mate and bought for buttons compared with todays market, Seamus will not be playing much but is being groomed for a backroom position and i think Robbo should go down that same route, these are proper player who have great attitude and still have a lot to offer i feel even though it maybe without actually wearing boots..
30 Aug 2025 03:29:56
The IKEA obsession is tiresome.
30 Aug 2025 08:01:00
Grino, 2 seasons ago he had shoulder surgery and was Out for ages.
30 Aug 2025 08:02:57
Wouldn't mind if it was funny!
30 Aug 2025 09:06:26
Robbo struggled in patches against Madueke and Saka.
Game after game I listened to people say he’s rubbish only for them to fail to quote specifics and begrudgingly admit “yeah, he was good today but”.
It’s a trope, yes he’s not exactly the same as he was at 27 but the role in this side is more sitting LB, a role he is way better at than MadDog Kerkez.
I’d ignore a blue on this one, he’s jaundiced.
{Ed025's Note - how very dare you WOW, i have been very complimentary about Robbo but sometimes the truth hurts, he was good but now like an ashtray on a motorbike mate.. :)
30 Aug 2025 10:29:33
Robbo struggling to adapt into an Older player.
You have to Change your game when the legs are going, use experience.
Slot should be telling him to play simple.
30 Aug 2025 10:38:48
He’s as useful as that bridge near your new ground in a fire drill?
That about right?
Anyhoo, he’s not, he’s Vice Captain and I think we will see him win back his place. Kerkez is not ready. Too reckless, gives away free kicks to sides who have great set pieces and tries to make himself into a ski slope when defending a header on the back post. I mean really, what was he doing v Guimares? Some of the worst decision making I’ve seen, he’s young, he will improve but right now…he’s not fully baked.
30 Aug 2025 12:08:14
Let's give kerkez a bit of time, Robbo was put away till January, when he was bought. Kerkez didn't play too well against Semenyo, but it was Robbo who got nowhere near him when he scored the two goals.
