Has anyone else heard anything about there being no St. Stephen's Day fixtures this season? Something about the players not been happy having to play so soon after Xmas.
{Ed001's Note - more likely to be because it is a Friday and the TV companies haven't chosen a game for that day.}

So you see games going ahead on the 26th as usual Ed?
{Ed001's Note - it would only be one game, it is a Friday. The main batch will be on the Saturday as usual.}

26th has been scrapped from this season onwards.
{Ed001's Note - is that defo? I must have missed that.}

I think I read it is related to there having to be a certain number of week-end games.

What is St. Stephen's Day?!
13 Sep 2025 13:05:08
@Marty, you are joking, right?

Marty, try this website called “Google”, you can find lots of information if you use it to search the internets.
13 Sep 2025 19:02:32
Well, it’s more commonly known as Boxing Day! Never heard anyone call it St Stephen's Day that’s all.
13 Sep 2025 19:06:10
Marty it is the national day to celebrate Englands greatest ever midfielder Stevie G. Apparently they are struggling to find a DJ for the main party though so Stevie is debating whether to perform his favourite song, Kolo Yaya Toure.

You learn something new every day.

As Ed001 said, there are no fixtures on the 26th simply because it's a Friday, and so a full fixture list will take place on the 27th. The EFL has a full normal schedule.

@FatWallet, ? LOL!

Boxing Day in Liverpool St Stephen’s Day is a bad wool statement. I’m with Marty.
There are no games this year on Boxing Day most are in the 27th and 28th December which is crap, Boxing Day is legendary in Liverpool for footy, betting, The State, etc.

Just the Irish name for it lads, took for granted people would know what i was talking about.

St Stephen’s? why it’s the advent of Micklemass Tide on the Ascension of the Lamb to the Firmament. You there boy, buy a Goose.
Anyhoo, told you Kerkez was a loon and Robbo would be back sharpish.
Also told you all Konate would wobble his head and be back to dominant form as the side gets more settled and used to playing with each other.
Ye faithless.
