My two cents (sorry I moved to USA 14 years ago) Neither Gakpo nor Diaz ever really established a relationship with Robbo and Kerkez is an up and down full back yet is constantly making inside runs that make no sense.
Salah used to have Hendo overlapping, Trent backing him up, positional sense behind him when the ball was lost. That positional ability no longer exists. Do we create overloads, sort of, but slowly. Then when we inevitably lose the ball we are fooked.
More often than I can remember we are playing balls into the box because we have no other ideas during the build up. When we do get it in we are stationary as we have been watching Virgil and Konate pass the ball to each other.
I don’t understand why our width is not coming from the full backs. We have ball players in the midfield (although I don’t think Mac Allister is anywhere near as good as others), why invert the full backs? They are not even really inverted, more like lost.
Sorry for long post but I see a manager out of his depth. One very mobile defence mid and a switch to a 4-2-3-1, Dom plus another with Witrtz as a 10, would be my move. Ekitike on the left, play a little more balls over the top.

All this nonsense about “we can can’t go back” why can’t we? If Klopp wanted to come back we should be biting his hand off. He’s better than anything out there.

Maybe the lack of viable candidates may help Arne at the moment. Glasner seems bookies favourite after Jurgen, with Iraola not far behind. Both could be excellent but are highly risky, Glasner wouldn’t necessarily gel with the fan base and style may not suit long term, with Iraola it just feels too early. Inzhagi nowhere in the odds, probably really difficult financially amongst other things.

Iraola would be my choice all day long and hopefully the appeal of a big club would force the move. I would love Slot to work and a Prem in his first season was unbelievable. Obviously we never know how much the transfers in and out are down to the manager but my biggest issue is his team selection.
The players look lost out on the pitch and they don’t look happy either. I just don’t see it getting better under Slot and we’ll be relying on CL or an FA Cup.

What about xavi ex barcelona manager his football is very much like Louis Enrique plays at PSG won the Spanish league as a player and as manager available would love a crack at the premier . Just a thought!
