Hi Diddly Ho,
Mo and Arne have had clear the air talks and Mo will not be leaving in January.
Mo does not want to leave the club.
Ask mentioned just before that interview, Mo and the management team are on different ideologies. That is still the case, but things are not all doom and gloom.
Both Mo and Arne want what’s best for the club overall, this isn’t all about Mo being dropped.
Semenyo is expected to come in January as a RW option, not an immediate replacement - as has always been the case. The club want a deal done early but Bournemouth may try prolong it.
Guehi again, nothing has changed. He’s wanted by us by CP haven’t budged on their fee.
I hope my next update is a development on one of the deals being close/ done.
Please don’t forget to support our club in the good AND the bad A criticism is acceptable but it needs to be for the good of those in charge as of now.
If not before, Happy Holidays to all and the best in the new year.
Diddly Out.

Happy holidays? Perhaps your John, Tom or Billy? ?.

Hi ned . thanks as usual
Got to be honest semenyo in from Jan sounds like another explosion ready to happen .
If he is indeed mos replacement long term he is obviously going straight in the team . mo is away all will be fine . but what happens when mo comes back. ? Is he going to fight for his place or just expect to be started . or even if he gets subbed off .
I hope we don't mess about with CP . we want guehi. we need him especially with lack of depth or options there . so just pay the fee and get it done.
I don't suppose you have heard anything on poor Harvey? Likely coming back in jan . hope he just doesn't sit on the bench like the other non slot favourites.
Happy days. hopefully a week between games means we can work on some very good game plans .

My apologies, Mo and Arne have had the clear the air talks. Mo and his agent have also had discussions with the club as well - clearing that air too - this is a very important bit I forgot to mention.

@MightyR3ds
I’m not sure on how the rotation will work when Mo returns - but we continue to start seeing our new signings become a core towards - certainly something to be excited for.
As for Harvey the last update (few weeks ago) I had was the club and AV are exploring options to end the loan early. A early termination fee will be paid by Villa but I’m unsure of the amount, may be negligible especially if we are able to move him elsewhere. I did know of a couple of German clubs interested, but I wouldn’t be surprised if other clubs come in from elsewhere.
In my own opinion I really think Villa have messed Harvey around - this is just me speculating but it wouldn’t surprise me if Emery didn’t know about the deal until it was done. Surprisingly common in football these days.

I really don’t think anyone on this site is not supporting the the team and criticism is required when things are not correct otherwise your living in a dictatorship. Slot has rightfully been criticised along with some players and club officials. All the fans want the best for the club and team it’s that simple.

The Salah stuff is all posturing, surely. He is at peak value now in the context of a 2 year contract, and his form is usually woeful following AFCON.
Semenyo is ready now and will open up space for others. Mo won't fancy being a sub.
14 Dec 2025 12:26:12
It’s not just about Mo being happy either. The club can’t afford Mo not to be in the starting eleven. He’s being paid way too much to turn into a rotation option.
From a wage perspective somebody on those wages needs to be a pivotal part of the team.

I think the thing is @Coul that some of the criticism is just personal opinion and not really based in fact and / or without any understanding of context within the club. You also have to remember that FSG own the club and have the right, as owners, to do whatever they want.
That’s not a dictatorship, that’s business decisions down to the owners. If you, me or anybody else expresses any opinion about the club FSG ignoring the opinion isn’t a dictatorship.

There’s criticism which is constructive and then there’s daft comments like
‘Slot is clueless’
‘Slot has no man-management skills’
Both exist from time to time.
14 Dec 2025 12:35:13
City and Spurs both want Semenyo and going hard for him aswell as us. I think all three will agree fees and it will be upto the player to decide. We have until 10th January. Nothing Bournemouth can do if we offer the release clause and player agrees. Guehi I don't reckon will happen in January.
Glasner already unhappy with Parish about not bringing in players in the summer so will not want to lose his captain midway and Guehi is an honourable man. Expect him on a free in the summer and another perhaps Ordonoz coming in January.
14 Dec 2025 12:51:50
WDW not saying you can’t ignore criticism it’s the fact of trying to say that by being critical we are not supporting our team which is nonsense.
14 Dec 2025 13:10:01
The club aren't just going to pay silly money either for Guehi either with him being free in a few months. And they shudnt either. if its true Palace are asking what they were asking for him in the summer well that's just silly. We were getting offered 20m for Trent Arnold last year, that's the most the club should be offering for Guehi.
14 Dec 2025 14:05:20
I think one of Jacquet or Ordonez is more likely to arrive than Guehi given Palace are participating in another strong season. Glasner and Parish won't want outgoings.
Semenyo seems like the one Hughes wants, so can see that one happening too.
I read that our scouts are watching Rennes v Brest and Lyon v Le Havre this weekend.
Jacquet was suspended and Fofana is out injured, so maybe they are watching other targets.

Thanks for the info and seasons greetings to you, Rod and Todd!
14 Dec 2025 17:27:59
Cheers for update Ned. Keep the info coming ??.

Ned, I’m of the view that the Villa loan was a waste of time. Elliott would be better served going to Germany, France, or Spain he’d flourish playing regularly in a less physical and more technical level of football. He was never going to succeed at Villa because as soon as results go badly, he’d be the first one dropped.

@Coul, totally agree with the sentiment of your last post - assuming the criticism is thought out and constructive. Unfortunately, in the heat of the moment (being charitable) that’s not always the case,
{Ed025's Note - you need to lighten up a bit WDW,..its Christmas, get that pole out of your arse mate and treat others as you would like to be treated, you never know you might enjoy it more...Scrooge.. :)
