Hello all, Guehi to City has nothing to do with lack of desire to join us. 115 unfortunately have deeper much deeper pockets than we do. Like Semenyo, had we triggered his clause we couldn't match their wages, despite prioritising a move to Anfield out of want.
Money certainly talks. Incomings now look very unlikely as the club are expecting life without Slot next season. Summer could be big and LFC will back whoever is in charge (Xabi). Also, Macca has one foot already out the door. A big bid expected by one of the Madrid clubs. Ta.

Sounds like the start of a good summer, just hope we make top 5 this season otherwise we have gone backwards massively through the club not sorting the Slot situation out sooner.

I feel like Slot wants to go at the end of the season to be honest. I think he's prioritising the CL as he hasn't won that and this is his best chance. A 3 year contract really means 2 years as managers rarely go into their final year without meaningful extension talks. Also there were rumours of an extension being offered last summer and either it got veto'd or Slot declined.
With hindsight, it feels like Slot has always been a bit of a place-holder for a longer term option. It makes sense really : head coach title - not manager, keeping his roots in Holland, 3 year contract, no signings in year 1. I'm sure no-one expected the title win in season one. Maybe Slot was always meant to be the 'post-Klopp transition fall guy'.

Thank you guys Still here, 6 days left in Barbados. I'm not sure on Richard Hughes's position, he's big bosom buddies with people within at club. Even though he wasn't successful at Newcastle, who were a circus at the time behind the scenes I'd really like Paul Mitchell. Don't see that happening though. Ta.

Won't miss Macallister at all. Between his drop in form and his diving, I no longer like seeing him in the starting 11. It's time for him to move on. The fee will pay towards bringing in Adam Wharton/ Elliot Anderson.

If he was that desperate to join he would of rejected them and waited until the summer. Hughes should of brought him at the start of the summer for 50m but didn't.

My ITK friend over heard this in a fancy restaurant in Cheshire, one of the guys talking was Scottish apparently. Make of it what you will.
Who knew if you offer someone £300k each week they might take it, over a lower offer from us. He said he went to church every Sunday and had relatives in the area. We didn't need a backup plan, he was our first choice target, the only CB in world football that's worth having.
Whilst we're at it, who knew Connor or Jo would get injured, and sometimes at the same time. I was stunned by that so I didn't think about it. And I was really shocked when Trent wouldn't sign a contract, I was convinced he wouldn't go to RM, he said he loved the club. That's why I didn't think to buy or develop a right back. Why waste the money.
Actually we plugged it all into a data model and that told us we'd be ok, but we've just realised the algo was a bit faulty. My bad.
I'll tell you why we bought Isak next week, his fitness record was unbelievable, like a machine.
