Kees Smit being linked for a late deal this window. Don't know the player but think he may have been mentions as a talent to watch out for by someone on the forum.

I'm pretty sure the world and his mother are after Kees Smit. Would be a very difficult deal to pull off, and that is before considering the transfer deadline ends tonight, at 7pm. Having said that, would love to finally beat Real Madrid to a signing for a change.
The player must be exceptional if every big team in the world has tried to get him. Hopefully we come out on top and he excels, or he don't and becomes a flop. Either way, hectic end to the window.

JJ was seen as a superior option to MG for various reasons.
Buying up the best young players around is a good strategy, provided we pick up the odd VVD/ Ali when possible.

I've not seen anything of Smit apart from what I've just looked at on YouTube. But from that small sample he looks quality but is he what we need for our midfield.
It's great having all these gifted ball playing midfielders but you do need to earn the right to play and our midfield is wide open.
I would love a Henderson type midfielder in there at the minute would improve us no end.

He's more of an around type. Has been compared to Pedri on the ball. Some of the best managers around like flick or enrique don't play with what we'd class as a destroyer. i've no issue filling the midfield with ballers and trusting them to use their heads.

Flick and enrique don't manage in the premier league though Florian it's totally different to Spain France Germany and Italy lots of bang average players have gone from here and looked world beaters in them leagues.
