Have a question for Carra
A couple weeks back, tou mentioned that a academy players parents had a fallout with Slot and his team.
If I recall, everyone guessed that it was Nyoni who you were talking about.
May I ask if in fact you were talking about Rio?
My reasoning being, is that all of a sudden, Rio is getting a lot more game time, or at least that is what it seems like to me.
Last night, the lad came on in the 65th minute, with the score at 0-0.
Up until a couple weeks back, he was onky getting 5 minutes or so, and that's when he actually got some game time
It just feels he has been playing a lot more since that post of yours, hence my question.
Then again. maybe its just my mind playing tricks on me ?.

I was guessing it must have been Trent Kone Doherty, no? Seen as he was highly rated one minute, then shipped off to Molde on a permanent deal quickly.
I could have assumed wrong, though.

Where's Florian Musiana today? Gone a bit quiet, lad. Nothing to defend today. Last night was the epitome of the Slot era. It's what we've been watching for over 12 months, with the cracks being papered over by individual bits of skill.
If Slot is still in charge next season, I'm going to stop tuning in. As it stands, I spend most of the match scrolling to deflect the boredom.
04 Mar 2026 08:12:52
The Slot stans aren't up yet, Barry. They were out late celebrating that outstanding performance.
04 Mar 2026 08:47:26
So, do you reckon Slot will get the sack this week then?
04 Mar 2026 09:09:34
Probably not WDW.
04 Mar 2026 09:10:33
I must have been watching a different game yesterday. I'm not blaming Slot.
But where were Dominic Soblazai and McAllister? They were constantly failing, acting like Italians on the football pitch. A lot of them, plus Gakpo, were too slow to get to loose balls.
Add Gravenberch getting a yellow pretty early on, and he was borderline on getting another card.
Best sub to take him off.
Our midfield lost the game yesterday.
Was Frimgpong tired? We took him off for Gomez, then the game went rubbish.
Even Rio, our super sub, was losing a lot more of the ball.
Best players for me were Ekiteke and Salah, but they had so few passes.
04 Mar 2026 09:36:41
Absolute garbage. This is the worst Liverpool side since Roy Hodgson. So boring. Possession 70%, goal attempts 1, if we were lucky. 60 passes from back to front before passing all the way back to Allison. Set pieces? We must have had a dozen corners, and aside from the open goal where Ekitike headed on, we never got the ball beyond the near post.
He has to go now. He has no plan A, let alone B. No point keeping on until the end of the season. Get Alonso in and start building for next season now. Probably play the 'Plymouth Argyle' team Friday. It is embarrassing. Painful to watch as season ticket holder after driving the 400 round trip every home game.
04 Mar 2026 09:45:37
Fully agree, Barry. Though my patience has gone now. Every game is a bore fest, and it's obviously our game plan which comes from Baldielocks.
There's better things to do with 2 hours, I hear paint drying is pretty exciting by comparison.
Hopefully next season I can watch again if we get someone in who plays football.
For a good few years we were a lot of folks' second team because we were attacking games and producing entertaining football.
This year I'd rather watch Stoke reruns from the 90's.
04 Mar 2026 09:55:12
Slot picks the side. Slot plays with no wingers (using Gakpo and Salah, and not to their strengths). Slot picks the midfield that doesn't work.
04 Mar 2026 10:04:17
Gorzee123, I can highly recommend the paint drying alternative, my friend.
04 Mar 2026 10:04:24
Same rubbish week in, week out. We have a gaping hole in midfield that opponents can run through at will. That's on Slot. He has repeatedly played this, frankly bizarre, tactic week in, week out, with some, quite frankly, appalling results. He is completely incapable of resolving this.
He has to go. None of the apologists can remotely give one good reason for him to stay, nor can they show there's been improvement. As for winning the Champions League, playing like that wouldn't win the Johnstones Paint Trophy, and we're on the hard side of the draw.
04 Mar 2026 10:42:54
Prances with Wolves. Not a very good watch.
04 Mar 2026 11:06:59
Slot's glacial persistence with things that simply aren't working interests me on a psychological level.
For the first part of the season, before all the injuries, Konate was the team's Achilles heel, and he picked him week in, week out.
Of late, Salah and Gakpo have been absolutely rancid, and yet he plays them over and over again. There are many examples.
What message does this send to the team?
Where's the meritocracy to thrive upon?
His lack of imagination and flexibility is now showing itself in our dull playing style.
There are other players in the squad, other options, and during the window the option to bring other players in, but no, let's just keep trying the same thing over and over. Insanity.
Champagne corks would pop if the management showed some bravery and brought in a caretaker for the run-in.
04 Mar 2026 11:15:41
Where have yous two been in general, Barryw33 and Dirtymic? Haven't been posting much. We must have been winning. Dont worry, your not alone. This place goes from a ghost town to being chockablock when we lose a game.
04 Mar 2026 11:27:19
The subs bench before kick off didn't fill me with confidence. There were no game changers to come on.
I thought it was shocking to watch our players on more than one occasion lying on the ground, feigning injury, on the halfway line as Wolves attacked in waves.
Gakpo putting his boot in to take a certain goal away from Jones didn't help our situation, either.
Credit, though, to Jose Sa for a top-class save from Rios's shot. Had he cut his nails before the game, the ball would have been in the back of the net.
04 Mar 2026 13:18:00
I think Slot will see the season out. Then there will be a parting of the ways in the summer.
Florian is right about the amount of traffic on here when we lose. I said after our win, the weekend, that that would be the case if we slipped up this week. I think it's a reflection of how society is.
04 Mar 2026 13:54:56
Rio was losing the ball because he actually tried to beat his man every time he got the ball, something Gakpo can't be bothered to do.
04 Mar 2026 15:36:39
From my perspective, I don't post that often. I just read and regularly laugh. But there are some diehard Slot lovers on here. You, Florian, are peak Slot; there are a few others, but you are the most vocal. I saw nothing from you until I called you out, so now please give me something to cling on to. Why should I tune in at 9pm (my time) on Friday and ruin my Friday night? Please give me something.
What would you call a success this season? And what would the outcome have to be before you thought a replacement was required? Honestly, I would just like to know your perspective, and maybe convince a few of us to get back behind the team, because right now it's awful tactics, and it looks like most of the players have checked out, and I'm close to checking out myself.
04 Mar 2026 16:01:38
You're an LFC fan, so you should tune in. Champions League now is imperative, and hopefully a cup. If we don't get Champions League football, it doesn't matter what I think; he will be replaced. If he does get it, he could still be replaced. He gets it and wins a trophy, I think it'd look silly sacking him. When you say it looks like players have checked out, is that, in your opinion, all on Slot, or do you actually think the players have some responsibility in this? Depending on which way you look at this, it will determine whether you and I would agree, which is fine.
Some think it's all on Slot. I don't; I think that's quite silly, and some players should be embarrassed by their season. But in the end it's all opinions. They're like a*******, we all have one.
04 Mar 2026 16:36:51
Yeah, totally agree. That's why I was asking your opinion. I agree the players take some responsibility, but like any person in a job with a bad boss, no matter what you are paid, morale and enthusiasm can slip very quickly, especially if your previous boss was a cracker.
04 Mar 2026 17:10:47
True. But for us, putting food on the table and clothes on backs means we suck it up and get on with it. Footballers could learn from that, if they weren't totally detached from reality.
04 Mar 2026 18:04:57
I'm fortunate enough to be in-between putting food on the table and being detached from reality. I work for one of the most famous companies in the world currently, and things are good and I'm motivated, but in my previous role I had an absolute bell end for a boss. I lost interest, checked out, and eventually just walked. Money only has so much impact; if you don't need it, then you need motivation, and a good boss motivates you to put your full effort in. Klopp is the kind of boss I mean; you'd run through a wall for him. Slot is like my previous boss, didn't really know what he's doing, blames and deflects his shortcomings, and claims the glory from the work his staff do (anyone last season would have won the league with Salah).
From reports of ITKs, Slot is a toxic boss; the players have turned. Salah, Robbo, Jones apparently have all spoken out. McAllister and others have checked out. I desperately want a change, not just for my entertaining purposes, but for the fact FSG have heavily invested, and if we get no CL this could have long term impacts on our PSR etc and stop us being able to update the squad in the coming seasons when we will require it most (Salah, VVD, Robbo, Allison all getting on). That's my opinion, and as you have said, we all have one.
04 Mar 2026 19:19:03
Wouldn't be taking too much heed of what you hear about the team dressing room on here. Not one word of it has been proven or been reported by any top journalists. Out of curiosity, Barry, the way you describe Klopp, who would you class in the Premier League as being like that, or indeed across Europe?
04 Mar 2026 19:40:51
I think Arteta and Guardiola have the players putting the most effort in, but I hate the football they both orchestrate. I don't watch other leagues because Liverpool are not in them. So I don't have an answer.
I think football is desperately short of high class managers. All I want is to be entertained, so whoever can bring that back is good enough for me (along with CL qualification).
