Direct from horse’s mouth - I am a window cleaner in Formby and have been doing one of the lad’s houses for the last 3 yrs.
Anyway we got chatting when the windows were done yday afternoon. Slot has always said to the team and the powers that be that his side is built for the Champions League.
Because of the huge £££££ they don’t want an inexperienced interim instead as they don’t think any of them will deliver the big one.
The player said the lads are all confident we make it through in which case he’ll still be here.
All the eggs are in the CL basket.
A few of the suits think we have no chance. A couple agree the team are more suited to the European footy.
If we limp out tomorrow, it’s game over for Arne and Stevie G is in.

It's been said on here many times that our team is better suited to European football. Unfortunately, even if we overturn the first leg deficit and make it through, there is no chance whatsoever that we even come close to beating PSG without a big change in the way we play.

We are not built for Champions League over the league at all, that's Jamie Carragher nonsense. We have played the midfield that started last season strong in loads of games, Mac Grave and Sobs, and they don't cover the ground anymore because of fitness levels.
The reason we have had better results in the Champions League is because the levels in there are awful, that's why Spurs look like they are going to get relegated but finished 4th in the Champions League.
But now it is the business end, and the best teams are left. If we get through against a very, very poor defending Galatasaray, we won't go anywhere more because PSG will destroy us more than they did last season, because we are so much worse than this time last season.

So built for Europe that we limped out to PSG last year, and have been put to the sword three times already in this season's competition. The way we're playing, we're not going to last much longer in the tournament. Can't see us getting past Galatasaray, as they already have the measure of us and we had nothing to offer against them.

Grino, absolutely nailed it. PSG could have battered us by 3 or 4 goals in either leg.
And yes, Florian, we limped out.
As for the penalties, two of the worst penalty misses I've ever seen a Liverpool player make, both absolute brainless efforts, thinking they could beat a keeper of that quality. Jones should be banned from ever taking another penalty for the club.
