Well, we let future Ballon d'Or winner walk last summer, and we're letting Salah walk this summer.
Ballon d'Or has become one of those silly commercialised ceremonial awards, which are no marker of quality and are just a chance to network and spread propaganda.
We make Ballon d'Or winners, we don't sign them.

Respectfully, Ron, are you arguing that Dembele wasn't the best player last year? He was phenomenal. I just think it's funny that people are being snooty about a clearly good player who has finally started to look like the player everyone thought he would be. Goes to show it's all about the right manager saying the right things.

We didn't let a future Ballon d'Or walk. El Rato decided to leave 2 years prior when he started learning Spanish. Aint nothing we could've done about it.

Dembele is 29 in May and he's missed a lot of this season with injury. The bloke is too old and too much of a sicknote and a knobhead to be spending good money on.

Changingofthegvardiol, I think it's funny that anybody is talking about this like it's even a possibility. He's looking for 600k per week, not to mention he's already playing in an incredible team, under a phenomenal manager, the current champions of Europe who have every chance of winning it again.
Rumours of transfer possibility always crop up when players are in contract talks. He's not going anywhere, and even if he was, there's absolutely no chance he's coming to us.
