With all that's happened in mind, does this mean that Alonso would have actually been first choice, if it was not for Edwards?
I think Andoni is the right choice, and also that Alonso may still one day manage LFC, since they are both young managers.
Ward is saying all the right things, and my sense is that Andoni is a better judge of players (that suit his system) than any previous LFC managers. i'm not saying he's better than any previous managers, just that he has 2020 vision when it comes to knowing who will best suit his tactics, methods and ability to improve players.
