Ed, any truth in LFC interest in Evan Ndicka, the 23 yr old Eintracht Frankfurt defender who is currently free to sign a pre-contract agreement?

Àmrabat transfer potential seems to be getting air time again. Likely or unlikely?

FrontMan

1.) 04 Jan 2023 16:37:28
If that’s true then we really are scraping the bottom of the barrel if we’re only looking at the likes of Amrabat or Tielemans.

2.) 04 Jan 2023 17:12:07
Really curious to know what would make VVVV happy, 90% if the players we are linked with he winges about, incessantly.

3.) 04 Jan 2023 17:15:28
Amrabat seems to be doing what Gini did 2/ 3 seasons ago, battling, pressing, he seems strong and not injury prone. So if we got him for reasonable money then he's an excellent squad player. And he might just help get us over the line this season. What we have currently clearly isn't working. So i'm all for them buying him. Tielemans isn't for me though. Good player but looks lazy and a bit slow.

4.) 04 Jan 2023 17:17:12
Vvvv beggars can’t be choosers.

5.) 04 Jan 2023 18:06:45
Has Amrabat got a clean history record?

He was having painkilling injections through the World Cup, had 6 weeks out last season with a bad groin injury and a whole year out with an ankle injury in 18/ 19 according to Transfermarkt.

Maybe not exactly injury prone, but worth asking why he needed painkilling injections during the WC.

6.) 04 Jan 2023 18:40:45
We had an Egyptian one time FPF who went off in a CL final with a sore shoulder to make sure he was ok for his country in the world cup. Maybe he, like our Egyptian, has massive pride in representing his country on the biggest stage and will do whatever it takes? All I know from watching their games is that he didn't look out of place against so called much better midfielders than him.

7.) 04 Jan 2023 19:04:36
You think Salah chose to go off after 31 minutes of a Champions League final because of the World Cup and could have carried on playing? Some people really don't have a clue do they!

8.) 04 Jan 2023 19:07:11
Sore shoulder?.

9.) 04 Jan 2023 19:16:29
I love this site sometimes.

10.) 04 Jan 2023 20:12:18
What’s worse - VVVV bagging every player linked with the club or people posting about every rumpus again and again. It’s a vicious cycle either way lol.

11.) 04 Jan 2023 21:24:57
Amrabat has been mediocre in his career up to that four week period in the World Cup, that is no basis with which to sign a player, it’s also worth remembering that Morocco’s tactics were almost exactly the same as Diego Simeone’s, so his lack of pace and mobility wouldn’t be exploited, how do you think he’d get on playing in system as open as ours? I’d suggest we’d still have players running through us at will as he doesn’t add pace or dynamism to our midfield. He’s an inferior Fabinho at best. Only he’s slower, less mobile and not as good. If that’s the levels some of yous are happy to accept then you’ve been well and truly gaslighted. If his lack of ability, pace and mobility weren’t enough, the very fact he’s been having injections (I presume cortisone? ) imply that he’s carrying a long term injury that will only worsen, which we can do without. Besides, we’re skint AF snd even players like him are out of reach, so it’s academic anyway.

12.) 04 Jan 2023 21:41:26
Alright sore shoulder was a slight on Mo's character and was an unnecessary sentence in my post. Amrabat for someone who lacks "mobility and pace" literally went stride for stride with Mbappe and won the ball off him. Maybe some of our current midfielders should start taking cortisone injections?

13.) 04 Jan 2023 21:47:01
It's easy to criticise from afar, Victor. Such as your spelling. But I won't go there.

14.) 05 Jan 2023 05:23:28
@Jude Nkunku - Seems he's getting the cold shoulder mate. ?‍♂️.

15.) 05 Jan 2023 10:12:42
Amrabat= one of the many bum steers put out there to distract from what's really going on.

16.) 05 Jan 2023 10:59:30
VVVV must watch an awful lot of football has he seems to know everything about all the atrocious players (in his not-so-humble opinion) that the media keep linking us to.

17.) 05 Jan 2023 11:30:00
We can't fall into that, good world cup, trap again.

I read today that Klopp is eyeing up Chiesa and considering funding the purchase through selling Salah.

FrontMan

1.) 24 Jan 2023 21:55:28
Good rumour. Kind of the ones we have been missing in this site for a while.

2.) 24 Jan 2023 23:25:39
that has to be from twatter.

3.) 25 Jan 2023 00:32:24
Nice rumour - old school.

4.) 25 Jan 2023 06:29:03
To round it off
He read it from a text sent to his best mate who knows someone who cleans Klopp’s house and overhead the convo he made in his study when he thought no one was home.

5.) 25 Jan 2023 08:02:27
I saw that mate. Love Chiesa but injured a fair bit.

6.) 25 Jan 2023 08:26:39
Saw him the other day in Casa Italia, didn't get chance to ask for a photo because he sped off on his voi scooter.

7.) 25 Jan 2023 09:10:52
Not at all opposed to selling one of Salah or VVD. One this summer, one next summer.

8.) 25 Jan 2023 09:23:54
All the proper rumours used to have a hairdresser in them.

9.) 25 Jan 2023 10:04:49
Or the taxi rank of John Lennon airport.

10.) 25 Jan 2023 10:18:48
I would not sell VVD at all. He hasn't been at his best this season, but he has still been a pretty good defender. Even last season, he wasn't 2018-pre C.V. VVD, but I still thought he was the best defender in the PL.
The man is simply too good even when he's not at his best. And his leadership is vital. It's no coincidence that we have looked much shakier on set pieces in the last few games, since his injury.

Salah on the other hand, I would maybe sell him if there was a genuine replacement lined up (Saka would be the dream) . But football doesn't have too many good RWs, and he remains one of the best in his position.

11.) 25 Jan 2023 10:24:17
Makes sense would like to think it is true.

12.) 25 Jan 2023 11:04:18
Good point thekoparmy, there isn't many good quality left-footed right wingers out there at the moment. Bowen has missed the boat in terms of a big move and so has Pedro Neto. I'm a big fan of Marcus Edwards at Sporting though, he would be the ideal realistic option. I like Olise as well, but he's more of a Gakpo type technical player than someone who is going to run at people all the time, so depends which direction we go in. I can't think of many other options.

13.) 25 Jan 2023 11:29:04
Salah has had a rough few games but prior to that he was still having a good season. Joint top scorer in the Champions League, 17 goals and 6 assists in all comps. For a bit of context, Chiesa has 19 goals in 2 and a half seasons at Juventus, and a lot of that is because he is injury prone but he's still made nearly 70 appearances.

Salah is a great example to have for the younger players at the training gound and he's still pumping out crazy numbers for a wide player. Personally I'd start to manage his minutes better. Age catches up to all of us. I think we should stop playing Elliott in midfield when he so clearly wants to drift out wide anyway, and just bring him on as a substitute in place of Salah for the last 20-30 minutes. And just give Elliott the full 90 on the right wing in early cup rounds. Salah is still ruthless in the final 3rd, but it feels like we're running him into the ground at times.

14.) 25 Jan 2023 12:17:23
Being Champs Lge topscorer gets you nothing on these pages MK?.

15.) 25 Jan 2023 12:31:44
MK, Id keep Salah one more season but needs a quality back up IMO. Not sure Elliot is the right fit there, a plethora of left wings, but nothing on the right. Id definitely be looking for someone young, with lots of pace, to back up and take over in a season or two.

16.) 25 Jan 2023 13:30:59
I like Elliott there, Brisbane. He was great there on loan at Blackburn. I get why we experimented with him in midfield but its not worked. He played one game right wing against Wolves, scored a screamer and won man of the match. Says it all for me. He's not a midfielder for me. His positioning is all wrong. It forces Salah too deep and Trent too narrow. Waste of his obvious talent. You can see he has an eye for goal and a pass, and his crossing is decent too. He might not have blistering pace but I don't think that matters as much as people imply. We have Nunez, Jota and Diaz who all make runs in behind.

17.) 25 Jan 2023 14:26:42
Neither Salah nor VVD are getting sold. Let's keep it moving.

18.) 25 Jan 2023 15:08:32
WDW - the other way round, mate. All proper hairdressers have a rumour in them.

19.) 25 Jan 2023 16:23:13
Elliott is clearly a very skilful player but unfortunately he lacks any sort of pace to take Salah’s place in the future.

20.) 25 Jan 2023 17:51:33
Some people are actually saying sell Salah with Elliot being a prominent replacement hahahahaha. Comedy gold.

21.) 25 Jan 2023 18:24:02
Elliot is not ready to perform at the level of a in form injury free liverpool demand. Nowhere near.
He’s a kid, he may become a top player but I don’t see it at the moment. He puts in a lot of effort I give him that.

22.) 25 Jan 2023 20:42:10
Elliot has to play central in the future that’s the only way he gets long term game time with Liverpool.

23.) 26 Jan 2023 03:05:09
Spoken like a true hairdresser Zed ?.

It appears to reflect a lack of respect for the negotiating partner, nievity or a lack of ability. Perhaps a combo of all these.

The Mancs want to believe that this is the beginning of the end for us. But, I still have a very strong positive feeling that we'll continue going from strength to strength over the coming seasons. We're at the cusp of a glorious new era not at the end of one and it's all thanks to the amazing work of Klopp and the current coaching team.
