I like Bradley Barcola but Left wing is ironically a position LFC are well stocked in. If it is one in and Gakpo out, then a small pool of starting quality players remains the same but loses more Premier League quality and experience.

Rather than this desperation in our quest for a right winger, we'd be better rotating between Szob and Munoz there, and revisit in Jan or next summer.

To sure up the right side, use the £60-70m for Koyode instead.

Put that on the table now. He massively improves the right side.

Raise funds between now and then by selling a few players like Macca or even Grav, to fund another push into the market next summer for a centre mid and right winger.

I reckon we should look to invest more in our academy going forward.
There's such a shortage in top players these days and we have to pay ridiculous fees for anyone we bring in.
So grow our own from seed?
Can't be sustainable for any club to blow £100+ for every signing.
Makes more sense to me to invest a hell of a lot more in the academy long term and save some mega fees in the future.
The shortage of wingers these days is meaning we are being bent over a barrel for mediocre players when we should really have a few wingers in our academy who could step up and fill the gaps.

As for who to bring in now?
It's obvious we need a right winger and everyone knows it. There's plenty out there but we are probably going to end up paying double what they are worth.
Terrible planning by the club, we knew Salah was gonna leave and did nothing. His understudy should have been signed a year or even two years ago. Even if they didn't end up good enough, we would at least have someone to play there now rather than a big gaping hole and getting ripped off.

I know people will say "He couldn't hit a barn door", but at least the lad tries, and he does link up well with players.

Fields did say there'd be a lot of noise, which was nonsense a while back. Hopefully this is that. I actually don't think Sarr is the worst option for 50mil, but would seem to go against our age bracket, but the money lately has gone nuts.
