Being only our second title in 35 years I am over the moon about this season. But being an individual who can remember the seasons of the mid to late 80's so have seen a few title winning Liverpool sides, I don't remember one playing as badly at this point in the season. I have to admit that as I sat in my chair watching the game on TV today I missed 10 minutes of the second half as I nodded off. That's not the first time it has happened this season as well. My point is, can I not be both ecstatic we are getting our hands on No. 20 and concerned about the dull slow football at the same time? I do think slot has done brilliantly in his first season, but think if he continues with this passive style with no physicality in midfield next season he will struggle.

83/ 84.?

Bobby, like my post says above, I think your memory is failing you. The mid 80s wasn't all swash buckling, rolling over everything that got in our way. But I was as proud then as I am now.

I think that's fair, Bobby; although I could never fall asleep watching us; I get too involved.
Concerned, frustrated, disappointed are reasonable enough descriptions sometimes. I just don't understand it when fans use words like abysmal, disastrous, disgrace and want heads to roll when we are where we are.
I'm not dismissing their feelings but it's OTT when you look at the bigger picture.
Saying that, I am often accused of being pedantic when it comes to language.

83/ 84 was a grind, the take away from todays performance was fighting back, hopefully Leicester will be as poor as they have been all season and Spurs remember how much they hate Arsenal. Going into our matches in May as champions means the lads can play with no pressure on.

We're going to win the title, mate. Whether it is the 2nd title in 35 years (which I find cringe, personally) or our 2nd title in 5 years, I am as proud of this team and what they have achieved despite all the ups and downs, contract saga etc.

And most importantly and in spite of all these things that could have been distractions, our manager and our guys stayed focused, stuck to the task at hand and we are 6 point away to clinching a league title, that was already in the bag unofficially since Feb., btw. Too busy savouring all these wonderful things to throw the baby out with the bath water. Why? Cos I love this team to death and respect them even more for what they have done under immense pressure.

Hence, anyone calling this team nor it's performances a disgrace, abysmal or disastrous and all that knee jerk schtick should remember that we are going to win the title hence, these are first world problems. Just saying.

I remember the constant passing back to the goalkeeper, who then picked it up. We used to kill games 1-0 more than I care to recall, hardly swashbuckling stuff.

I’m too young to remember the 83-84 league boys, first memory I have of Liverpool is grob doing the wobbly legs in the EC final. Do remember the days before the pass back rule and have to admit that was pretty dull.

A lot of matches were indeed us just passing the ball about. A lot of the appeal of going to matches was the laugh you had on the Kop or just winning.

StEtienne, Ye get the same points for winning premier league games whether the score is 1-nil or six-nil.

We should "ALL" celebrate this league win, and think about next season when the upcoming Charity Shield has been played.

Bobby, Grobbelaar's wobbly legs was in the 1984 European Cup final in Rome.

the real question is - what are you concerned about?

We're going to win the league, which means that the level of our performances have by far and away outweighed are drop in levels at this stage of the year.

are you concerned about the performances because you've moved past this title and are looking ahead to next season? I would hazard a guess that this is the case even if you and others in your boat don't realize it.

OP, better to say ‘being our second title in five years’ - t reflects more accurately on where the club actually is at the moment.
