A little while back i asked opinions on choosing between Isak, Alvarez or Cunha. If recent reports are to be believed then Isak could be too expensive and injury prone. Alvarez is unlikely to move after only 1 year at his current club. Cunha is showing some negative temperamental issues.
So my question now is who else is out there that could be a viable replacement for Nunez if he left?

no idea who is viable.

But from the names mentioned I like the idea of Pedro, Cunha and Etikite.

I don't know why people are so obsessed about Cunha's "temperament" on this site.

I'd take a punt at delap. We need a striker who can put himself about in the box when teams play the low block. Cunha and alvarez ain't that type of striker. Isak for 140 mill can't miss more than 5% of games a season so his consistent fitness would be an issue but he honestly is the perfect striker who offers link up and that ability to be a nuisance in a tight box.

Looking outside of strikers with prem experience maybe osimhen if the prices are right.

Etike hasn't dine enough to warrant the outlay.

Sesko possibly but is he going to turn out to be another hojlund.

If funds weren't the issue I'd go for martinez from inter but to get him in funds would definitely be an issue.

Isak is head and shoulders above the rest just because he’s such a supremely talented player, reminds me of a certain Fernando Torres. Unfortunately can’t see that happening in a million years.

Players like Ekitike and Sesko feel like gambles given how many big money failures there have been from the Bundesliga, Werner, Havertz, Pulisic, Nkunku, Sancho, Randal Muani, Jovic etc.

Jonathan David should be avoided as he’s already failed the dickhead test, as has Thuram at Inter. I think Martinez at Inter is too old now as he’ll be 28 in August and there’s no way we’d pay whatever Inter want for a player that old.

I like Cunha, not bothered about the so called attitude if he can deliver on the pitch, which he evidently can. Suarez had an edge but you can live with that when he delivered.

My concern with Delap is whether he’s just another English carthorse like Andy Carroll. It’s all very well being a battering ram for a team who are struggling.

As for Joao Pedro, doesn’t score or create enough. Very ordinary player and nothing special about him at all. If Isak is questioned on his injury history, so should Pedro. He missed 11 games last year and 16 the year before that. Also, he’s only scored 5 goals from open play, the rest being penalties, and that’s not an improvement on Nunes, which is what any signing has to be otherwise why bother.

And if anyone says Harry Kane, GTFOOH, he’s way past his sell by date.

Cunha is fine. Loses his head playing for a smaller team where he is constantly have to fight for every ball and every point. Whole different game somewhere like Liverpool. Those issues would be pretty non existent here.

Same as Babbitty - Mane had temperament issues before he came to Liverpool. Would miss training etc at Southampton.

Cunha is a winner, a warrior, we need players like that.

Obviously the more clinical the better, but to improve the team the finishing ability of any new attacking signing doesn’t have to be at the level of isak to improve this team immensely our forwards are that poor at hitting the target this season.

Ed 001, do you see the reports of Cunha's temperament being an issue for a potential purchase of him from LFC?

{Ed001's Note - no, I don't see his temperament as a problem. He seems like a decent lad.}
