Out of the forwards Jota and unfortunately Darwin has to go. Gakpo 100% staying and I would be very surprised if Diaz went because he really has upped his game in the last few weeks. Thoughts lad's?

Agree Barry, might as well get rid of Chiesa too if slot doesn’t fancy him. If Frimpong signs he can back up Salah as well as cover rb. Then hopefully we sign Cunha.

Sounds about right there. Might be targeting a versatile forward like Cunha then, I think Ed001 mentioned before how slot likes to adjust the players about so would make some sense there as opposed to an out and out no9.

In an ideal world Barry I would let Jota Nunez Diaz and chiesa go but I think it’s too much for one window so out of the Diaz stands heads and shoulders above the other three. Would be ideal if we did not renew his contract and sold him next summer keeping him on same wages for one more year.

Then you must bring in two forwards which I cannot see Barry. we won't recoup enough from the sale of Jota and Nunez to bring in two top quality forwards. Jota will likely stay and finish his contract, Nunez to go and we bring in one striker.

Agree. Gakpo, Diaz and Salah are the ones worth keeping. Chiesa just hasn’t worked out, Jota is too injury prone and Nunez is not good enough. Whether we replace them all at once is another matter entirely. I think Chiesa you’d have to say is the most likely to move on because he can barely get a kick off the bench. Nunez seems pretty certain to go to Saudi too though. Jota will probably stay unless we get a big offer.

Jota - Sell. He can't stay fit and he has gone from being our most clinical finisher to somebody who constantly makes the wrong decisions and can't hit the target.
Nunez - Sell. He could be an absolute beast but it just hasn't worked out for him here and a move away is the best thing for all involved.
Diaz - New contract. Diaz through the middle is not the answer. He's a much better player from the left but he has been playing well. I'd happily see him sign a new contract.
Gakpo - Keep. He's just equalled Mo's record for scoring in consecutive starts at Anfield (10). He's quality and a genuine goal threat.
If we can bring in a real genuine goal threat at CF we would have a terrifying front 3.

Nunez 100% gone, slot seems to like Jota but for me if there is a buyer the he should go. Diaz seems to be on the verge of a new deal and with Gakpo that side of the pitch seems covered attack wise.

Lucho looks like he wants a new contract and a pay raise by the sound of his recent interview, the question is whether we are willing to give him what he thinks he's worth. Pretty sure he's one of the lowest earning players in the starting 11, if not the lowest. He looks like he would like to stay, anyway.

Surely Diaz deserves an upgraded contract after all the hard work he gives us last few seasons. Doesn't mean we can't sell in a year or two even if value goes down. Seems like another one to kick the can down the road unless we have an exceptional replacement already in mind. (E. g. if Kvara had come in)

Meh, if we get decent offers for Nunez and Jota I think they let both go - was rumours of 40m for Jota and 70m or so from Saudi for Nunez - that's 110m for both (save even 90m to play it down)
Cunha release clause is 60m approx, I'd love Isak but we'll prob not pay 120m plus, especially given that would get us two players - so if we sold those two, maybe added a bit to the finds, you could get 2 60m type players in
Or maybe FSG will surprise us all and buy Frimpong, Hato, Huijsen, Cunha and Isak lol whilst selling a few too.
