So apparently Leao has asked to leave Milan and may be available for £59m plus add ons, Bayern sniffing around but media reporting they don’t want to pay that figure, should Liverpool be in this race if we can get Diaz out the door for a similar or slightly lower fee?

Could be a giggle to let Bayern think they have him then we snatch him.
As a player not sure, seems a bit raw power rather than finesse. And a lot will depend on where Wirtz is going to play.

He’s probably the most powerful runner since prime Gareth Bale, but his end product is nowhere near Bale’s. I think how exciting he is to watch, warps the views of how good he actually is. He got 12 goals and 13 assists last season though which is still a very good return for a winger. £59m would be a good price.
I’d still rather keep Diaz and Gakpo though who both also got 25 g/ a last season. Change for changes sake in my opinion.

I think would be a great signing personally. Just the pure explosiveness and athleticism in the final 3rd I think would add a lot.
Also he has started to go a bit stale at Milan. I think this is down to Milan falling apart as a club over the last couple seasons. Even in that still had like 25 goal involvement last year.
I also think a front 3 of salah wirtz and Leao is just fun. With back up options of whoever is left of gakpo Diaz jota etc. I think gives a lot of fun com nations and options.

Leao is not a patch on Diaz nor Gakpo. IMO, we shouldn't be advocating for players who are clearly inferior to the ones we have, to come in and replace them. We are getting worse, at that point.

Rafael Leao has so much talent and the physical profile to a world class player. If he tapped into those consistently, he would be a much better player than Diaz and Gakpo. The concern is that he doesn't make the most of it. He's 25 now, so there's no excuses for it to be honest.

Too lazy for a Slot team. Work rate is not there. Good player but not the right type of player for us in my opinion.

Avoid like the plague. Perhaps he does have more potential, but if he doesn't have the work ethic or desire to fullfil it then it's a big NO.
