Seamus Coleman went to anfield to pay his respects at 11.30 pm when there'd be no cameras to pay his respect silently, to me that is just total respect. Rival or not what a man he is.

Having met him a couple of times over here in Ireland I can say that he is an absolute gentleman. Makes time to talk to strangers when he doesn't need to.

When I saw that story of him paying his respect I was not surprised.
To be fair, the football community worldwide have been amazingly respectful.

I saw lads in the MLS and in the Aussie league doing the Jota 'playstation' celebration. Class acts all.

Proper Donegal lad so he is. Fair play to him, they don't make many footballers with his genuine humility much any more.

{Ed025's Note - the guy is an absolute diamond Bmena..

There was an AFL player doing the jota celebration here in Australia. Not even the same sport.

Burkey and a player in the US, after he had scored the winning penalty in injury time, got his whole team to do the Jota celebration.

This tragedy has transcended football and affected all sports people everywhere. There but for the grace of god.

Ousmane Dembele did the same video game celebration when he scored vs Bayern. Dembele is also a FIFA video game junky. Or used to be.

I’ve met him he was a gent, baines was another one. We’re lucky, our derby is genuinely amazing. The relationship isn’t something anybody anywhere else experiences, and I don’t mean the game. The day to day. You can’t be a liverpooo fan without appreciating/ respecting Liverpool as we’ve all been through so much stuff together. I don’t get bitter reds or blues as we are one and the same, just different sides of the fence. The banter I can understand but not the bitterness. If I needed help I’d ask an Evertonian over anyone else bar a red.

Stone mate, Ed025 was locked in his bunker watching The Club World Cup! : p.

{Ed025's Note - i have not watched even one game KC or even deliberately looked at a result, its just a money making scheme mate and for me the players should be on a break and will burn out later on in the season, sometimes im really glad Everton are not European giants just now.. :)

Totally agree regarding Coleman. my lad is red through and through. when he worked for a certain Christmas decoration business, he and a few lads went over to put deccys up in Coleman's house. I asked him that night, what was he like . Me lad said, he was a really nice bloke. was making cups of tea for the lads and talking footy. for a young red to say that about Everton's captain shocked me!
