If we complete our front 3 with either of Isak or Rodrygo then I'm buying shares in Kleenex. Salah, Ekitike and Gakpo looks pretty tasty already. Throw in Isak or Rodrygo, with Ngumoha, Frimpong, Szoboszlai and Wirtz also offering cover, that is some strike force.
Anyway, the main reason for this post was to show Gravenberch, Macca, Dom, Endo and Jones some love. This time last year everyone was bleating about how weak we were in midfield. We were desperate for the likes of Ederson, Zubimendi, Koopmeiners etc.
What our 5 main men in midfield did last season was so impressive that people now aren't even talking about CM/ DM issues. The talk now is all about defence and attack. Credit has to go mainly to the players, but also to Slot and his staff for working out how to get them all to shine in a title winning team.
I think there's some very good times on the horizon for us!

As far as 5th choice midfielders go Ed025, Jones is about as good as you can get! He'd start for your mob :)

You always said that Everton is going into new era and everybody should start to be wary of your club Ed25. Why not get a Scouser and local lad in Curtis Jones and make him the face of your club's new era? It would be brilliant.

If Jones wasn't scouse he'd have been moved on or the club would accept a sale. There's a stall on his contract renewal. He's not getting guaranteed game time. he's probably also looking his wages doubled or trebled.

Edd001 i don't care about klopp in this present time. Jones is a good player, at times but he's not first choice. Yes it's a "squad game" but if he wasn't scouse, it's my opinion that the club would have been open to offers. Every player has a price but there's players that are stars you never want to sell then there's players like Diaz, timikas and Jones. If the right money came in the club would be content letting them go.
Fortunately for Jones, he's homegrown and also scouse which is a big advantage for him. He's a good squad player but he daddles on the ball still far too much and elliots ceiling is far higher but unfortunately his position has been filled in by a top tier player. It's simply my opinion.

Said before and will say again, he is a perfectly capable 7/ 10 squad player and am very happy he is part of the team.
I also give him massive credit for the time 2+ years ago when we essentially had no midfield and he delivered regularly as a starter.

Jones is a very good, technical player. Yes he holds the ball to long sometimes, but i just don't get the hate. I love the guy and hope he stays and maks some haters eat their words. YNWA.

No body likes being wrong about stuff but the older you get the more you don't give a flying f##k about who's right and who's wrong it's all about opinions, I think the older you get the more humble you become when admitting your wrong maybe it's a maturity thing but we as fellow liverpool supporters should not be arguing with each but enjoying this truly astonishing window and licking our lips to the season ahead.
