rate the window!
I'm going 9.5/ 10
The 0.5 downgrade due to not nailing Guehi, which in the end was out of our control.
Appreciate people will have reservations about CB but I do think we are covered by the current group plus the make shift players who can do a job.
Saw Rhys Williams is still at the club and will essentially be the 5th choice if Slot determines that is better than throwing in Grav or Endo.
And let's be honest, if we need a gap plugged, I think Dom is the man for any job lol
everywhere else on the pitch we are covered. laying a solid platform for a sustained title charge and we're really just figuring out how to start the car, let alone get it moving at top gear.
our net spend is circa 200m pound in the Slot era. Over three transfer windows, along the way we've picked up a PL trophy and totally rebuilt Slot's squad.
Final point - I see Jamie Carragher's comments about the perception of Liverpool changing, but I think this needs to be assessed if there is a trend over successive windows. In isolation, this window is big spending like Chelsea over the early 2000s, City into the 2010s and ManU all the time lol
But in the context of how we've done it over successive windows as well as the majority of the player's we've brought in are still early 20s ready to step into their prime-type players, then I would hope that people can see that this is a totally different approach to the oil spending of the past. They're really not the same
again, 200mil net spend over three transfer windows to rebuild the squad and we have a PL winners medal to show for it.
That is stunning at all levels of the club.
mighty golf clap for all involved
p. s. thank you eds for your tireless work editing, posting and for your patience.

I don’t care what other clubs fans think about our club. Focus on your own.

10/ 10.

I will give a rating of 20/ 10. I couldn't think in my wildest dream that we would buy Wirtz and Isak ever let alone buying them in a single window. So, I am not bothered even the slightest when Guehi didn't happen. Yes, I would have been concerned a bit if Leoni wasn't bought. And Jamie speaks non-sense most of the times.

Wirtz and Isak are no brainers for me. Think they become superstars.
Pretty much a 10/ 10 window for those 2 alone.
And YLFP.
Some were not my first choices but I honestly have high hopes for them all.
Do you know who I think will be the surprise hit in this transfer window. Pecsi the goalkeeper. He is very young but he looks a really good one to me.
Hoping we sign Ali to another contract after this one and perhaps Pecsi and not Marma will be the succession plan. He is super young so who knows but I think there's something about him.

Going in to the summer if you’d asked me who my dream signing would be I’d have said Isak but I never for one second thought it would be possible. To get him in makes it a 10/ 10 window for me on his own.
I never even contemplated Wirtz because I always thought he’d follow Alonso to Madrid or end up at Bayern like all top German players do. To get him in as well made it a ridiculous window.
Ekitike was an unknown quantity but before this window he would be the type of striker we would’ve signed as our marquee signing. For him to be signed as a second striker is absolutely stellar.
Then there’s the best CB prospect in Italian football. Crazy.
If we’d just replaced Trent with Frimpong and Tsimikas with Kerkez it would’ve been a decent window and would’ve improved us but with all of the other business we’ve done I think we’ve taken this squad to a whole new level.
It will be a very, very good side that finishes above us in both the league and Champions league because this is the best squad I’ve seen at Liverpool probably in my lifetime and I started going to Anfield in 1983.
Yes there will be teething problems as everyone gets up to speed but we’ve already shown that even when we haven’t clicked yet we have so much quality that we can still win big games.
All 3 games this season have been huge for very different reasons and we’ve found a way to win in all of them which bodes extremely well for the future of this team.
The future looks very, very, very bright.

Clear 10/ 10 for me. If we agree that the Guehi situation was out of our control and we have no responsibility for the outcome, because we did all that was required, why penalize ourselves with a 9.5/ 10?

Any point below 10 even Guehi not signed is hilarious. We won't have this type of window again. The squad age looks good too. This team is good for another 5 years minimum unless someone wants out or to replace players like Salah/ VVD. Its liek foundation laid for future. Hopefully we go on again and dominate both PL and CL.

@Faith 10 out of 19 - we can’t be faulted for something that was out of our hands good work on both incoming and outgoings imho.

Best window I've witnessed, perosnally in decades. The Guehi stuff doesn't bother me at all. Gives us a good chance to see YLFP gratify us with his immense potential, per the Don Arrigo Sacchi himself.
