Been watching the highlights of the goals this morning. Gravs goal is something special. Ekitike is top class and what a way to score with a nutmeg of the keeper. How do Ekitike and Isak fit together? What a headache to have. Do you have Ekitike on the left and have him and Isak drift between each others positions. Isak hasn't even started firing yet either. I know they will both get games as they will rotate and it's a long season, I just ponder on where they fit together. What a headache for Slot to have. Ekitike is always smiling too and it's so refreshing to see.

Ekitike honestly looks really dangerous dribbling at a defender from near the corner flag, he could do a job out on the left for sure. Kerkez keeping the width out wide could also allow him to drift in centrally or in the left half space.

Same as Diaz Gakpo last season. Both had their best season at Liverpool competing with eachother, and leaning on eachother for the rotation, a fresh and firing Eki/ Isak playing 3 games a week will be vital.

Ekitike actually found himself out on the left on a few occasions early second half yesterday and did really well. Couple of step overs both times and went on the outside.
He looked more comfortable there than Wirtz did when he came on.
I’ve never really liked square pegs in round holes etc but Ekitike def didn’t look out of place there albeit it was a very small sample size.

I think they will play together occasionally with Ekitike off the left but mostly they will be rotated in the 9 position.
Ekitike does play a bit deeper than Isak so they could also play as a 2 up top but it’s difficult to see how that happens with the rest of the team structure. We could go 442 or even 532 at times.

I imagine they will be rotating as strikers most of the time. It just means we will have the luxury of having 2 top class strikers all season long, and someone available for every single game (fitness permitted) in every single competition. As good as Isak and Ekitike are, you can’t rely on one of them to be fit and on form throughout a long season and being in 4 competitions. It’s just far too much football.

I've said previously, I can see Ekitike playing wide left, if he is to establish a fixed place in the side. He seems to naturally drift to that side. I'm with JK regards to square pegs, I can't see Wirtz establishing himself in a wide left role, he doesn't look suited to it. Just my take on it. As is often said, there are hopefully many games to play and enough for everyone to have plenty of game time. I'm certain there will be far more rotation this season, apart from at centre back.

@Rome, I agree, I’d like to see Eki on the left, Wirtz central, Mo on the right and Isak up front.
