I didn't get my pay rise yesterday, apparently Hughes blocked it, so he needs to go we need to sack everyone.

Oh sorry I thought we were making up stories to fit a narrative. I have written things over the past few months and deleted it as I didn't want to get involved in all the sh*te that's going on. I think how some of our supporters are behaving is disgusting.

We all expected a transition season last year, we knew there would be a drop off and expected it, but somehow Slot came in worked with Klopp's team and won the league. Now we have dropped off but that's not allowed, a transition season with new players a manager working with the team, nope not having that.

I have supported Liverpool for nearly 40 years, we don't have inherant right to success, we got used to it, but even Klopp had not great seasons.

Alonso is available so now our supporters want Slot to fail so that he can come in, don't get me wrong the romantic in me would love Alonso as manager. A former player, understands the club, especially after he was treated badly by Benitez. But I don't want it at the expense of not giving Slot time.

It's been a tough year, a lot has gone on. Jota's loss was devastating, a lot of changes happened. Yes I have disagreed with some, I wanted Nunez to stay but he's gone, I wanted Diaz to stay, he wanted to go. New players have taken time to bed in. This season is what last season was supposed to be, inconsistent results and performances, but we are still fourth.

I am just so tired of the toxicity around the team.

You're tired of the toxicity and in a toxic manner accuse fans of god given rights to be successful with hints that's that we shouldn't complain.

No one complained at the start of the season, we got results despite some iffy performances and there was a belief we would bounce back and recreate form from last season.

We haven't and we're not in last season. We have a squad that most teams would kill for and I am convinced we could get a manager to get more out of them. 18 points from a possible 51 and 5 wins in the last 17 PL games is a sackable offence and unacceptable. So don't tell me what I should feel and shouldn't, the football is dross and Slot has lost the dressing room.

As much as I can agree with a lot of the post. The quality of the football we are playing is VERY poor.

There is no excuse for the slow tepid build up that we've seen this season.
There is NO excuse for letting united turn up to anfield with more fight than us.
There is no excuse to get battered at home by forest and then psv.
There is no excuse for deliberately sending out a team at home to palace in the cup with the intent on losing. We've been embarrassed at home many times this season. When it happened with klopp there weren't fans in the stadium but to have the crowd be so tepid is on slots tactics making the team boring to watch.

Slot has to go. There are others above him who need to go to but slot cannot stay.

We absolutely have a squad that another could get way more out of, a lot of these players are absolutely excellent and not afraid to put in a shift and work for each other. They are more than capable of playing fantastic footbal, let someone ambitious have a go. please.

What a load of crap nobody wanted Slot to fail and people didn't start wanting him out because Alonso suddenly became available. When we were on our worst run since the 50s he should have gone then these performances have been going on since we got knocked out of the fa cup against Plymouth last February.
Slot has been totally unprofessional in refusing to move his family here flying back and forth he is not in this 100% a player would not get away with that so a manager should definitely not he should lead by example like Klopp did.

Slot wants out you can see but does not want to resign because he doesn't want to give up his pay off.

I don't care if you've supported Liverpool for 100 years the minute you start being obnoxious and talk down to other Liverpool supporters you've lost the argument. It's simply not good enough for the money invested in the summer. Slot is not getting the value out of these players. He's had enough time he has to go.

SA. i've supported the REDS for 55 years, and i agree that we expected last season to be difficult and it was the opposite and this season its the opposite again to what was expected. A lot of change yes, but the way some of the players have been played, Krkez being held back when he's a very attacking direct LB, Gravy being allowed to go further forward, very often leaving Macca as the deepest midfielder,, etc etc, that's down to Slot.

It baffles me and saddens me, that for whatever reason he couldn't leave things as near to what we had, and carry on. The other major mistake id not getting a quality CB. That is a disgrace. Not on Slot as far as i know, so whoever that's down to they should follow Slot out of the door.

" Alonso is available so now our supporters want Slot to fail so that he can come in""

What a load of virtue signalling tripe, no supporter wants the club to fail. But it's absolutely true to say that Slot's record this season is very close to that of Roy Hodgson. And would you have advocated for him remaining as manager? There's been no improvement and we are dropping too many points, conceding too many cheap goals to teams that we should be beating, particularly given that £400m was spent in the summer. Slot hasn't turned it around and there's no end in sight to this abject form,

18 Jan 2026 11:23:31
At the beginning of the season, everyone wanted Slot to succeed and most were confident that he would especially after the amazing window that we had. Sadly the evidence since then showed that Slot is out of his depth.

I am disappointed in Slot but I am a Liverpool fan first and foremost and I want the club to do well. So for the betterment of the club, the evidence suggests that Slot needs to go.

Spot on, Grino, Drac and Endo3. Listen, the whole "I've been supporting LFC since. " is not the flex these people think it is so maybe someone needs to tell them to stop using it as some kind of standard to lecture others. Trust me, it's embarrassing. For them.

Not sure what the OP is on talking down to other fans who have a diff. opinion to him and telling them to just sit down, be quiet and just support the team "no matter what" or whatever. Sorry, this is not a cult. If such people want to join a cult, they can go join MAGA where whatever The Dumpster says goes.

Maybe nobody has told them yet BUT we are likely to fail to defend our league title to THIS current Arsenal team. Really? We're going to lose our title to these guys? Sorry, I will not be lectured and talked down to cos I refuse to lower my expectations for this team and for this club. Im not even saying we are entitled to winning. All I ask is that the manager give us a fighting chance to compete honestly and if we lose, we do so with NO regrets.

I feel the exact way @steviep62 does. We all supported Slot when he came in and wanted him to succeed so that poster who said we want him to fail is a bold face liar cos we all supported him.

Now as steviep62, Slot has next to NO credit in the bank anymore for a lot of fans and he brought this on himself. We will end this season with a ton of regerets with a lot of "what might have been's" and it is killing me cos Slot gave us NO chance with his pathetic system, ego and arrogance.

Once again, It didn't have to be this way.

18 Jan 2026 12:45:59
@Oli, perhaps you should be the one to tell people like me who was born and bred in Liverpool and who have watched the club for 30, 40, 50 years and who have seen brilliant times and times a lot, lot worse than now, what we should and shouldn't be able to say. If nothing else it'd give us a good laugh.

18 Jan 2026 14:46:17
WDW, you're literally making my point. Sad the first paragraph flew right over your head. You living in the city and following LFC for donkeys will NEVER make your opinion on things have more weight than mine or those of us who aren't even English nor spent their whole lives in the city when discussing current issues. It simply won't. If that triggers you lot then, that's a you lot-problem.

But if you want to keep on pulling that stunt as some kind of "my yard is bigger than yours" schtick when talking about current issues then, you and your ilk can keep embarrassing yourselves trying to use that as a crutch for your argument cos I personally couldn't give a crap where you have lived and for how long you have been supporting the club. That has NO impact on me, personally.

18 Jan 2026 23:53:08
@Oli, have you ever been to Liverpool?
