When Robbo leaves Think we need to sign a jock. We have always done well with a Scot in the first team. I can't remember us winning the league without one.

But I think that is going to have to change because I can't think of one that is going to get anywhere near our 1st team.

The Jock has to be good enuff, to begin with. IMO, Robbo is arguably our best/ greatest LB in the modern era, who just happens to be a Jock.

If we're looking for a young left back next season, we could do a lot worse than Josh Doig from Sassuolo in serie A.
Max Johnstone (RB) has been getting good reviews after leaving for mainland Europe at a young age a few seasons ago.

Not saying we are anywhere near likely to sign him, but Lennon Miller seems to be getting more game time in Italy recently and is well thought of.
Bit of Scottish bite in the middle of the park? Unlikely to be a world beater though.

I just realised that McTominay is now 29, I had no idea that he was actually that old now, I thought he would have been 25/ 26. I thought Doak would have developed into a top player with the right coaching, I'm still interested in seeing how he gets on, he's still only 20 and has had some ridiculous games at international level.

Thought the move was perfect for him, but Doak is another one who's struggled with injuries. Hardly a young player these days who doesn't.

I never really thought Doak would be good enough for us. Always thought his finishing was erratic…. Jayden Danns on the other hand I was sure he would be breaking through over these next couple of years but he seems to have had his progress halted by injuries.
