All geared up for el-worsico on 15th March lads.
Can feel the disaster in my veins.

FA Cup tonight, mate.

It's only Wolves, and with us likely to win the CL & FA Cup, at least we know tonight's result is in the bag.

Every cloud and all that.

06 Mar 2026 05:50:56
I can't wait for another disaster class tonite.

06 Mar 2026 06:09:52
All joking aside. I think we'll win this one. I genuinely didn't expect us to win both this week, but I thought we would have won the league one.

Nothing but a win tonight will do. Even if we do go out of the cup, though, as the best fans in the world, we'll find some positives, even if it's that we were the better team for most of the game or we win the XG battle.

Worst case, we can criticise Arsenal's style of play.

Morning all, just been reading about Ramsay of Newcastle Utd's 2nd yellow card. The referee wasn't going to issue one until the Devil's 11 surrounded referee Peter Bankes. I'm sure that was called mobbing, and was to be outlawed from the start of the season, and if so, why doesn't Peter Bankes and the rest of Webb's merry men grow a set and yellow card them all? If he does, then surely that will stop it from happening.

They are just cowards. ?

One day there's going to be a positive post on here. It's getting like EastEnders - Nobby has smiled or laughed for three decades.

06 Mar 2026 07:48:12
I've never ever seen EastEnders so technically, in this day and age, that it could make me an EastEnders super fan.

I started being an EastEnders fan after their successful 90s period of cleaning up awards on all fronts at the TV awards, making them the most successful one to follow.

After every away, I take to social media and announce, "We won it."

Biggest rivals are Emmerdale Farm fans, who, unlike us, Albert Square massive, aren't the greatest soap fans in the world.

"Get Peggy Mitchell out of my club."

{Ed025's Note - love it JK..

When was the last time you saw a referee yellow card a player for simulation? They allow it, week in, week out. I was quite surprised Ramsay received one. Our Macca gets away with it frequently.

06 Mar 2026 08:24:05
But don't forget, JK, LFC fans don't care much about the result apparently. They want to be entertained. The poor little souls miss their Jurgy Wurgy.

06 Mar 2026 09:45:09
Fm, in fairness, mate, performances and results haven't been very good at quite a few points this season, including Tuesday night.

Regardless of what people say, results will always come first. We proved that last season, and Arsenal are further proving it this season.

Nobody remembers style of play at trophy presentations.

06 Mar 2026 10:03:07
I have seen a lot in print and heard a lot on the radio about Arsenal's set play goals and how they are bad for the game.
As far as I am concerned, goals are not bad for the game, but...
All of the grappling and holding leading up to the kick being taken is bad for the game.

Very bad, in fact.
A simple fix for me is for the ref to blow his whistle as soon as the ball is spotted, and if there is any grappling on either side, then blow the whistle and give a foul or penalty. It will soon stop it.

Florian you moan about other supporters voicing their frustration and then you just moan about it. You are absolutely no different. all you are doing is deflecting. No need to be a snarky karen at your fellow reds. And i hope beyond hope we win tonight and you can come on tomorrow and lecture people on how they were wrong. Keep well fella.

In general, fans remember how the football makes them feel.

Even in the average to bad times, Anfield could still deliver exhilarating games of football. Games that would make you go "wow - that was fun".

Bar the two Real Madrid games and perhaps the game at Old Trafford last season, I am not sure there will be many games to remember under Slot's regime when we look back on this era. Yes, we have had a few last minute winners this season - but they have been more relief/get out of jail than exhilaration/joy.

While "Jurgy Wurgy" is catching strays, I will always admire how he wanted his teams to be "greedy, cheeky and brave". Whereas this Slot team is going through the motions with fear and pessimism. What's even more maddening is that despite playing with all this fear and pessimism, we are not street smart either. This lot play like every event on the football pitch is the first time they've ever seen it.

06 Mar 2026 10:34:34
Hope it doesn't turn into El Crappico, but I've a feeling it will.

06 Mar 2026 11:19:10
Condescending know-it-alls who, ironically, know nothing about football are really annoying.

06 Mar 2026 12:22:27
Pelican, I tell ya, sometimes they play like it is the first time they've seen each other.

At least, that's what it looked like in the first half vs Forest.

06 Mar 2026 14:38:04
JK, your ability to take swipes at your favorite poster on here with creativity and invention is a joy to behold lol.

Fear and pessimism are aptly chosen adjectives, Pelican, honestly, that first half against Wolves really irritated me. Wolves were there for the taking, and we were playing with the handbrake on for some unfathomable reason.

The medical team knew that Frimpong had to come off after an hour. Why not let him run at the Wolves defence and create chaos while his legs were fresh? Instead, Mo and Frimpong looked like they had no idea what they were supposed to be doing with each other on the right side.

06 Mar 2026 15:43:14
Let's hope all of us know-it-alls are happy at 10pm tonight, lads! C'mon Arne and his Red Men.

06 Mar 2026 19:45:19
I was very positive all day, until I saw the lineup.
Don't think that this is a match-winning team.
But Wolves have made 5 changes, so that's a lot.
So, fingers crossed Hugo is a sub, so we might have a problem scoring goals.

Our squad is very thin, the subs' bench is poor.
I would have given Marmalade a game.
I think Alisson needs a rest, in fact he needs a rest.
