The Jones bubble has burst. Him being in the squad or not doesn't make a semblance of difference. He is not that special a player and the ceiling was never that high no matter how much adulation he gets because he is a local lad.

I think you are all a bit harsh - he's not played well this season, but was doing better last, and he's a decent squad player, can play in multiple roles, not a high salary and local.

After seeing Jones attitude in the Brighton game, he would be 1st out the door for me.
I would've been a fan of his, but he hasn't progressed like what I thought he would and we have too many of his type that not near aggressive enough.

Not sure why Jones gets so much hate.
He's exactly the type of squad player that every team needs.
He hasn't been at his best, but who has this season?
The lads need a coach who will invest into the whole LFC experience, from the club to the city.
That attitude will then filter down to the players as well.
Everything at the club is rotten to the core and a complete change in attitude is required, from top to bottom.

Is Jones worth his place? For me, no, he really offers nothing, so why want to keep him, Morton would have been a better shout to keep.

Who was the last one we had? Trent had another 'dream move' in mind, Gerrard? It seems the prospects in the youth team are now brought in from elsewhere. Bradley, although not Scouse, shows the desire for the badge more than most, in my opinion.
Shame about the injury, as we would do with a bit of that right now. Same goes for Danns. Injury free, he might have got some decent minutes this season with Isak out.

Funny thing is, the whole squad, for the most part, have been garbage. The common denominator is Slot, I'd certainly keep him if a new manager is inbound.

It's not being harsh on Jones. He's one of the least effective footballers I've ever seen. He's like Joe Allen, regeneration. He's weak in the tackle, has no defensive nous, offers nothing going forward and even less defensively, and hasn't improved since breaking into the side. He's pretty woeful in any position he plays in, which is not versatility. Spursiest player I've ever.
