Is anyone else still in the #SlotIn camp? I agree the rumours around the amount of time he spends out the country aren't good but they're also quite unfounded.
I think the fact he won the league last season gives him another credit to start the next season.
The only real critique he had last season was his style of football was a lot slower and methodical in attack and we would want to see that fast paced attacking style we had under Klopp. Slot brought in Frimpong (a rapid attacking RWB), Kerkez (LB PL team of the year and attacking LB), Wirtz (quality CAM known for pressing) and Ekitike & Isak.
Seems to me Slot did everything that was asked of him.
Unfortunately, we've been plagued by injuries (Ali, Mama, Bradley, Frimpong, MacAllister, Wirtz, Hugo & Isak) and others haven't had the impact they did last season.
Need to remember Klopp's season after winning the league and back the manager. Not turn into a United or Chelsea swapping managers every couple of seasons trying to reclaim the past.

You can't be serious, or are you a manc in disguise? Slot out. ?
19 May 2026 12:23:14
Not at all, get him gone.
19 May 2026 12:30:50
Based purely on his out of possession set-up and management of fitness, he has to go.
Yes, he's not been helped by his boss on the balance of recruitment, but that shouldn't stop him from adapting to get the most out of his squad.

Slot didn't bring any players in. That is not his job.
He has, however, introduced slow, lethargic football that makes us extremely easy to play against. A direct result of this, he has failed to use the quality players that were brought in for him in any kind of effective way.
He has lost the fans and the dressing room and has no interest in the youth setup or the city. His position is untenable and, whilst I believe that everybody is entitled to their opinion, I struggle to believe that anybody can genuinely think that he is still the right man for the job.
19 May 2026 12:35:32
You've gotta be kidding or definitely a Manc.
19 May 2026 12:36:15
I think getting rid sets a dangerous precedent.
19 May 2026 12:37:21
Macallister and Wirtz plagued by injuries? Hugo has also played a decent chunk of the season. Mamardashvili has mostly been available.
United and Chelsea changed their last manager because they were dog ? and rightly so.
19 May 2026 12:43:50
Some very fair points, Shipley! I imagine he has some say in regards to recruitment and wonder if injuries have prevented us from being able to play exactly as he'd like. I very much agree with the Youth comment, though. Too many English players being shown the door and too few chances for others.
19 May 2026 12:55:04
Who asked him to train the players on a part time basis to the point where they're gassed after 70 minutes despite barely running?
19 May 2026 12:56:55
Do not ever compare Arne Slot to Jurgen Klopp. Klopp is a force of nature that, in the space of 9 seasons, dragged us from 35 years in the past to establish us as a top-tier club - that is his biggest achievement as Liverpool manager.
Before Klopp, seasons like the dumpster fire we are currently experiencing were not uncommon, and we qualified once for the CL between 2009 and 2015 - we were on the road to absolutely nowhere.
Under Slot, we're heading right back to the loser territory we occupied for 20 years pre-Klopp.
19 May 2026 12:58:42
100% Manc.
19 May 2026 13:03:41
Chill out, Lowe1FC! Nobody compared Slot to Klopp. Klopp had a few bad seasons as well if you are comparing. Never once wanted us to get rid of him, though.
19 May 2026 13:05:37
Genuine question. What are we good at? He's now fully implemented his "style" and I can't think of a single thing we actually do well. He doesn't even know his best 11.
19 May 2026 13:19:56
Florian Musiala is this you. ?
19 May 2026 13:02:01
Utter nonsense; either you don't watch matches regularly or your knowledge of the tactical aspect is very limited. He's useless.
19 May 2026 13:29:33
What "dangerous precedent"? That if you're incompetent and willfully destroy what took a decade to create, you'll get fired? I'm okay with that.
19 May 2026 13:37:12
Slotin isn't on his own in supporting Slot. I go to games with blokes who never miss going, home and away, and they still want Slot to turn things around. Don't get me wrong, they are an ever decreasing minority, but calling Slotin a Manc is unjustified, just because he holds this view.
It took me a while to become "Slot out", but am now very much in that camp.

19 May 2026 14:25:43
Jesus, im like the face of this site. ? Get mentioned in more threads im not even a part of than ones i am.
19 May 2026 14:37:49
Are you on the same mushrooms as Slot? Slotin.
19 May 2026 15:19:41
Sorry Florian, I thought you didn't like reactions and the limelight. Here's me thinking otherwise ;) Anywho, I'm sure there are people who supported Amorim or Big Sam. Point is, there's always gonna be people who are misguided (tough in cheek) and people who don't want to flow with the stream no matter how much sense it makes.
19 May 2026 15:43:12
@Mr.Jones, So essentially, a contrarian just for the hell of it, no?
19 May 2026 15:43:54
You've earned it though FM!!!! ???
19 May 2026 15:53:49
It's nice to have adoring public. ?
19 May 2026 16:09:34
It's the price of fame, Florian. Have your body armour ready when it turns around. "Everything that goes up must come down" and all that. ?

All I need now is for Frode to invite me for a pint. ?
