Also worrying to see how good Anderson was. That’s the kind of midfielder I’d like to see us sign.
Just seems to be in the right place at the right time. Also a great passing range and love his ability to win the ball back, protect it and then pick the right option.

I must have watched a different game, cause England were totally dominated in midfield and could get close to Odegaard. Anderson has a good engine but hardly excelled for a player of his transfer value.

Anderson had a superb game and City have bought a player who will serve them for 10 years. Would've loved us to have bought him.

Sorry Rome, can't see what the fuss is about with Anderson, looks busy and great engine, but too many square & backwards passing.
Never once caused Norway any problems with anything incisive.
Decent player but never worth that sort of fee. Just my opinion mind. ?

He played some great diagonal passes, Bristol, and he was everywhere. Our 2nd best player. The fee is up to City. Like I say, he will serve them for 10 years, so it could turn out to be money well spent.

I was actually really impressed with Anderson's passing range last night. Hit a couple of diagonals like Stevie used to.
But that's genuinely the first I've really seen of him or paid attention to him when he's not played against Liverpool.

Anderson is about the same level as another England international that City bought, Kevin Phillips, and we know how that turned out.

@Kemlyn; Garbage. Anderson is excellent. And was last night too. We should have been in the mix for his signature. I can only assume he wanted City and nobody else for us not to be at the table for him.

Anderson was excellent and is excellent. Virtually always looks forwards first, though passes not always on with England's forwards.
His range of passing is Gerrard-like. Incredible engine in that heat and humidity last night, running to the end, and a top-level mentality.

Anderson can be incisive, but doesn't need that as his primary skills in this team. He can be excellent at what he is doing currently, which is recovering and retaining the ball.

Anderson dog walked our midfield twice last season. To make out that he's not very good is ridiculous. He's plainly a very good midfielder and nothing like that fat oaf Phillips.
