2 player poll

Mac Allister & Jones. Both easily replaceable, neither offer much on the pitch.

Good question, mate, and I'd imagine it will come down to posters' unconscious bias of the 2 they don't like the most.
If it was 2 to raise funds for purchases, then for me it would be Frimpong/Macca.
If it was nothing to do with finances, and just based on creating 2 spaces to bring in better squad players that will contribute more, it would be 2 Endo/Chiesa (even though it wasn't an option).
31 Jul 2026 09:55:40
All of the above.
31 Jul 2026 09:56:21
Not Frimpong. Homegrown, low market for him. Not fully sure how he turns out yet.
I'm quite happy for Macca to go and replace with a DM.
Jones, I'm torn on. If he'd sign a new contract, I'd keep him as a squad player, but he might be fed up with that role.
Chiesa is getting a full preseason, which is good, and should defo suit a more direct style.
Endo could potentially be a sneaky good squad player under Iraola.
No to Frimpong, yes to Macca for a good fee.
And then the rest, depends who the replacements are.

I don't understand why and how so many people rate Endo, the guy is a fighter, sure, but that's about it. One of the slowest and most limited footballers in our squad. 3 years ago, when he still had some pace, sure, but right now a move to a slower league would be best for him if he wants to smell the pitch this season.
I see him getting close to zero minutes this season.

Viktor, someone could probably argue that Macca's 2,609 minutes and 10 goals and assists in the PL winning season, and last season's 2,663 minutes and 6 goals and assists, offered more than Endo's 430 mins and 1 assist over the last 2 seasons or Chiesa's 422 minutes and 3 goals and assists in 2 seasons.
Even Jones has a good argument of not offering much with 3,641 minutes and 10 goals and assists.
31 Jul 2026 10:06:28
McAllister/Jones for me, maybe even Endo if we aren't gonna play him. I like to Chiesa get a chance, as he hasn't really had one since he joined. Brand of football we will play now suits him a lot better.

I'd sell them all except Gakpo. Don't know why people want him out of the club. He's a really good asset to the forward line. I do also like Endo. Great heart and commitment. The rest I couldn't care less about, and Frimpong should be the first out the door. One of the worst purchases ever.
31 Jul 2026 10:27:40
Endo and Chiesa for me.
31 Jul 2026 10:35:10
Frimpong and Kerkez, followed by quite a few others.
31 Jul 2026 10:52:45
Tbh, JK, he may have weighed in with a few goals and assists but when it came to the dirty work in midfield Mac Allister was nowhere to be seen, so when I say he doesn't do enough, he doesn't do the basics.
And as for Jones? He's even worse but with less goals and with added big time Charlie attitude without cause for having it, you'd think he was a Ballon d'Or winner the way he projects, like Arnold Rat. ?
31 Jul 2026 11:03:57
Viktor, I get you mate, it's all debate and opinion. I'd argue Macca was good the season we won the league and was awful last season. Jones for me is a squad player and no more.
But both of them, in my opinion, are more pivotal to the squad than Endo and Chiesa.
Iraola very well might have a different opinion to me, though, and his is the only one that counts.

In ideal world for me and what I would like for team (not realistic I know but I would love to see it )
I would sell
Macca, jones, elliot, gakpo, Gomez, Ramsey
I would keep endo and chiesa (this season sell next season)
Loan out mconnel
Keep bajetic and neyoni
And add
Bouaddi and Wharton and the young Mexican mora to the midfield
I would of still liked Diomande for the right wing but rayan looks more likely
Another top class centre half ( Schlotterbeck, zabarniyi someone of that mould young enough but with good experience) still yet to hit their prime
Right back Michael Kayode ( was so impressed with him this year he looks perfect for a Iraola team )
Bart verbruggen as I really rate him and his ability with his feet good prem experience and still only 24 ( for when Ali finally hangs his gloves up as a red )
Svensson left back competition but can also cover left wing if needed.
This is also thinking that barcola is a done deal.
If carlsberg done windows and all that

Show me the money!
What prices are we talking, because every player has a price and I'm not selling for buttons again.
31 Jul 2026 11:51:14
Really good question.
Endo, I would keep, low wages and can play in defence.
Chiesa, I would keep and give him a proper run out.
Gakpo, I would keep, at least until Ekitike is back fit.
My two Macca and Jones.

I think any of them could leave and be easily replaced.
I'm not sure Frimpong is actually better at RB than Calvin Ramsay. Not because Ramsay is good, but because Frimpong just seems far more suited to being a right wing back. It was a good market opportunity, but not everything works out how you envisage.
Jones is a decent squad player, but judging by his attitude the other night, he is not humble enough to accept being a squad player. I think he's very under rated because he is certainly not as bad as some people make out, but in his own head it's the complete opposite and he seems to have an arrogance that he can't back up on the pitch.
Mac Allister is a very good player, but he's not been trying as hard for us as he does for Argentina, for at least 18 months. Seems to me like he wants to leave as much as anyone else wants him to. He'd likely get a move to either Madrid side if he does leave and they'd both suit him.
I'd keep Chiesa as an impact sub because he does have it in him to come off the bench and score crucial goals.
He also seems to have a pretty decent attitude. However, if he was to leave, I'd not lose any sleep. The thing we'd miss the most would be his iconic song.
Endo, I'd definitely keep. DM, RB and CB cover, retired from international football, great leadership qualities, low salary, etc. No brainer to hold onto him in my opinion. It will cost more to replace him with a like for like player than we'd recoup. Also, with Alisson and Virgil being our only other players over 30 years old, it just helps to have that experience around the club.
Gakpo, I'd be happy to sell but only after Barcola is confirmed. Otherwise we'll be extremely short in attack. I am more than happy for Gakpo to stay though, as he was much better when he had Diaz as competition, so maybe he'd be the same with Barcola in the side. It felt like he got too comfortable under Slot, knowing he was his favourite.
If pressed for an answer, Frimpong and Jones. Easiest to replace.
31 Jul 2026 12:24:05
Endo and Frimpong, because every other option has one player that, as the squad stands now, could be first 11 for us, whereas both of them will be far down the pecking order.
