Ed001, there are reports that the UK government are worried about any punishment of Man City affecting relations between the UK and the UAE.
Surely this should be a massive red flag to everyone. This is the reason why any potential owner who is a politician or a member of a countries royal family should not be allowed to purchase a football club.
If a football club breaks the rules, they should be punished without the worry of a political falling out hanging over the case.
{Ed001's Note - I very much doubt there is any truth in that.

Cue the import ban on all kebab ingredients.

A large fine and transfer ban is simply not enough. These are serious crimes. Relegate City and throw the owners out of the Premier League for bringing the game into disrepute. City's owners are finished. Appalling what they have done. Cheats. Conmen. Criminals.
{Ed666's Note - Then by that standard we should throw the owners of Chelsea, Forest and Everton out of the Premiership also no? Aren’t they cheats, conmen and criminals? You can’t have one rule for one and one rule for others..

I think the owner of Forest is a Richard of the first order but he doesn't strike me as a criminal mastermind.

The owners of Chelsea were technically thrown out though Ed. Abramovich was forced to sell and although the punishment happened under their current owners, they were committed under Abramovich's tenure.
And Everton had a recent change in owners too from the ones who broke the financial rules.

There are plenty of jokes we can make about City and their owners. Not sure kebab ones are the way.
{Ed025's Note - i will ask my sister...Donna mate.. :)

JK_RED, I don't think any of that would matter in reality. I know a lot of City and rival fans have been saying this for years now in a bid to brace for impact should City had gotten off. They didn't.
Which tells me that none of those fears matter because if they did, then surely, they would have gotten off for the most part. Also, keep in mind that other PL clubs will be looking to sue City for lost revenue and all that and depending on how many clubs, that could almost bankrupt them. The factors you fear will not stop any of that, should it happen the way it should.
Imo, City are should get the stiffest of penalties for what they have done because mind you, this is the biggest scandal in British Sports history, let alone English football. People have yet to process this yet because they are waiting for the official punishment and the ramifications that would have for the PL.

Hang on ed666
They took their punishment. And accepted what got? Reluctant though they were and got on with it.
These cheats just double down and double down again. They could well bring the whole PL Down.
{Ed666's Note - if someone commits a crime does it make a difference if they owned up to it and found guilty or denied it and found guilty?

Fine then ed666, you drive a hard bargain. Kick them all.
{Ed666's Note - harsh!!!!

I think it does make a difference if criminals plead guilty, their sentence is often less severe. I'm no legal expert.
