Hello all,
Been doing some digging on the transfer front, this is what i can tell you.
There is a bit of a difference of opinion going on at the club right now but nothing to be concerned about.
Winter is likely to be quiet (unless a good opportunity opens up somewhere in the market) . The eventuality for this summer, as it stands will be one of Upamecano or Guehi in on a free and one of Schlotterbeck or Lukeba in as a more marquee re-enforcement.
Konate still won't sign a extension even after meeting all the demands and obstacles thrown at us, however if he does have a change of heart we will leave the room for Guehi/ Upamecano. A club decision.
There is a MASSIVE suggestion from people at LFC that Slot doesn't particularly rate Ibou as much as others do and would want him replaced this summer regardless. His ideal situation is to have four ball playing centre backs at the club competing.
Be interesting to see what happens there.
A wide forward is still being looked at and Adam Wharton could replace Alexis Mac Allister next summer if the player gets his move to Real Madrid as a Modric replacement.

I imagine the difference of opinion could be related to either the fullback profiles or whether to renew Ibou.

Upamecano and Lukeba, especially the former, aren't good enough for us. Upamecano is about a quarter as good as Konate in my opinion.

Agree, Upamecano is a clumsy defender, poor choice
Diomande is better, Guehi, Lacroix, Schlotterback all better in fact.

Upamecano is absolutely dreadful and Lukeba is injury prone and over rated. Schlotterbeck’s injury history is concerning.

Upamecano is a from old data, he is someone Slot is not keen on but others see opportunistic value.
I personally think he's a MASSIVE liability
This is where there is a little bit of disagreement behind the scenes, for me I would be all over Lacroix.

Bild are now reporting the Schlotterbeck news. Amazing how often that happens. I do sometimes wonder if some news outlets use the reliable posters on this forum a sources.

Have to agree on Upamecano, every time I've seen him he has been poor. If it's right that we have met all of konates requirements for a new contract and he still hasn't signed then it would appear he has had his head turned. Its such a shame young Leoni got injured.

Carra, agree with you about Lacroix, he looks a very good defender. I’d read that he was someone our scouts were impressed with.

If memory serves correct the late great 002 nodded towards Lacroix years ago. He is a miss. Could spot a player amongst other talents, RIP.
