Hello all,
Just to re-affirm what I know.
Slot will be gone when the right person becomes available.
As I've said before, he's pretty much been told this but is happy to stay on and try and prove his worth.
The club won't make knee jerk appointments despite conversations with several coaches.
If the decision was down to Hughes and Edwards alone, Slot would've been given the new contract which they drew up last summer.
They have been told to step away from that idea completely by the big wigs at LFC.
There is a lot of unrest with some of the senior players who are not on board with the new tactics/ ideas implemented this season.
The Salah situation didn't help anything either but I won't go into details regarding Mo.
The unrest has been going on for several months now, the group I feel is ready for change.
I honestly think the whole thing has been dealt with terribly, Slot is not the only one at fault here I have to add.
Hopefully things get resolved soon and we can get back to talking football again.
On a brighter note I'm about to depart for Barbados now.

Cheers Carra mate, I guess Slot is staying put until the summer so as at present there isn't anyone available that would be of the pedigree of what we require ah well just maybe write off this season and hope by some miracle that we get a champion leagues spot for next season and hopefully for our new manager whoever that will be ? Thats the feeling you get when watching the team this season, they don't seem to be playing for Slot anymore, and it looks as he's lost the players respect. wouldn't the best option be to cut off the head of the snake right now, even if that means Gerrard takes over for the rest of the season? Its like staying with your wife when you already know you want to leave because the relationship has turned sour.
At some point, you just have to take the risk.

I have to say, I do find it a little hard to believe that he's been told he's going, that just leaves the club in limbo and feels really foolish.
If this is true then it feels like a really really dumb move.

As per what Carra said, Slot is happy to stay and prove his worth. He knows that we are looking for another coach but there is still a chance that he can change their minds. So no, I don't think he is not willing to change just because he will be going.
I think he's just arrogant and fully believes that his system works and is best for us. That's why he's not changing.

If That was me in Arne's situation, I would throw caution to the wind and go all out balls to the wall helter skelter attacking football. There is zero reason for him to be cautious because there is nothing left to protect

Genuine question, i thought the big wigs at the club didn't get involved with the football side of things and left that to the people they have employed to run the club ie Edwards and Hughes.

If that's true about Hughes and Edwards being told to step away surely they're jobs are being considered too.
