Slot ain't happy he has not been given the tools he was promised. Honest and frank conversations have been had beetween him and the STC. Edwards seems to be meddling with things as well, probably because he's not doing the job he was hired for.
Its rather messy behind the scenes but we aa a club, try not to let that play out in public like other clubs. So they send for someone like JP and get him to cover it up.

@Thefields, out of curiosity, if you were a betting man how would you see the club structure shape itself for next season or more of a chance it stays same as with STC and Edwards?
From reading on here, I would have though Edwards stays and maybe STC is replaced but would be interesting to hear how you potentially see if transpiring.
I would be lying if I said I had a clue who could be a good candidate but if Alonso is the way forward, it would be great to see someone who sees the game in a similar fashion in terms of principles and style of play, so any future coaches potentially track with similar characteristics.

Any public backing of a manager should always be received as a red flag.
Yes managers aren't going to be publicly shamed but managers that are comfortable in their roles, don't need public backing.

We finished 5th that season and won nothing due to our midfield being completely on its arse (which anyone with common sense could see we needed reinforcements before the season started).

Fields, can u elaborate on how Slot feels he's not been given the tools he wanted/ needed? We've seen on here he wanted a Diaz replacement; anything else? All the years of Klopp making do and Slot gets Man City levels of spending and can't make it work.
