Liverpool are reportedly on the brink of losing sporting director Richard Hughes. Reports in Saudi Arabia suggest he's struck a deal to join Al-Hilal and that it will be announced imminently.

Oh please be true.

This is old news. Also, "losing" Richard Hughes is an interesting spin on it.

That would be a good start.

Word is he and Edwards will see out their contracts, and then both leave.
Thing is, Alonso has always been Edwards' first choice pick, so why not stay and work with him, to prove that he is the real deal and not just a flash in the pan cause Jurgen was at the helm.

TalkSport reported earlier that Hughes was staying at LFC.
He might well stay, but I am of the opinion that Slot will leave.
Make of that what you will.

I wouldn't be surprised if he will conclude the summer business and then leave in September to let his replacement plan the next windows.

Wasting huge amounts of money on big name players with no thought?
Yeah, he will do well out there.
??

Can he take Arnold Slop with him too.
16 Apr 2026 17:37:09
Nope, Hughes and Edwards will be seeing out their respective contracts until 2027.
It will be reviewed during next season along with Slot, dependent on how the beginning and mid-way parts of the season have played out.
FSG respect the team they have in place.

Are you Ornstein in disguise, Jonny?

Losing?
Debatable as to who the lovers are in this scenario.
Ed001 must be crying his eyes out!

I have to believe they are more capable than keeping Slot and Hughes.
