Ali would be a huge loss. The best keeper in the PL for a long time now, but injuries do appear to be becoming more frequent.

He was awful when we played them back in 2021. I mean, like a proper clown! And was at fault for a number of our goals. He conceded 7 over 2 games.
That said, Alisson conceded 9 over two games playing for Roma against us prior to signing so he would be in good company!

I remember that game, Goaldigger. Atrocious. Apparently he's a top keeper though. I've a coupla Manc mates who were mad to get him when they were linked to him.

I only know him from Football Manager and he is considered one of the best goalkeepers in the game.

I just wish Ali could stay fit, but he picks up so many injuries these days.
Would love to have a top goalkeeper that stays fit most, if not all, year. Would help a lot with consistency in the backline.
Ali is such a top keeper. I have a bad feeling about selling a talent and leader such as him.

Not sure if VG or Ed's can correct me but I am sure he was one of the goalkeepers on the list with Mamadashvilli to come in around then. Maybe Alisson has decided to see out the final year and Mamadashvilli not happy to be sidelined again which was the rumours in January

A goalkeeper is only as good as the defence/team in front of him. The defending has been dreadful this season. Step forward Con-ate, who "couldn't defend an Innocent Man".
It's more important that a GK is good with his hands, not his feet.
His number one job is to stop goals, not create them. There are ten outfield players to create goals.
