I would love if we got Klopp in for a year so we can then go for Enrique in 27.
Ideal scenario, but won't happen.
17 May 2026 15:15:36
People must be silly enough to be putting money on Enrique.
17 May 2026 15:17:19
Not a bad list. I would order them:
1. Enrique
2. Klopp
3. Iraola
4. Hoeness (Not seen much of him, but basing on good things heard)
5. Nagelsmann (not overly a fan to be honest, so clear 5th on this list).
17 May 2026 15:24:03
Everyone would bin off Slot for Enrique, I'd like to bin off my missus for Scarlett Johansson, but that ain't happening either.
The most important bit is to bin off Slot then go & get someone who will go back to playing in the Liverpool style we all want.
17 May 2026 15:29:13
Perhaps, there is some truth in that Enrique wants one more year at PSG to make it 3 x CL wins, whilst intimating that he would like to end his career with LFC?
Perhaps, Edwards is building a side to suit his needs until that point.
Another year of Slothball and the ground will be empty.

Luis Enrique has signed a new Paris Saint-Germain contract through to 2027.
The 54-year-old joined PSG in July 2023 and led the club to a domestic treble and the semi-finals of the Champions League in his first season.
His previous deal had been due to expire in the summer of 2025.
"I'm very happy to continue this story with Paris Saint-Germain," Luis Enrique said. "I feel very comfortable here; we have all that we need in order to work in the best possible conditions. I think that the future looks very bright, and I hope to enjoy a lot more success with the club."
17 May 2026 15:34:42
I would take Gerrard over Slot, don't care what people's views are on him. I think we could get a manager from League 2 and he would do a better job.
17 May 2026 15:47:17
At this point I'd take anyone over Slot.
17 May 2026 15:53:18
I don't understand the obsession with Luis Enrique. He absolutely stank the place out with Spain. Failed miserably at Roma and Celta Vigo. That's what I would be looking at rather than this PSG team.
France are literally a conveyor belt for talent with which PSG can just take whoever they want.
17 May 2026 15:56:10
If asked, I'd think Klopp would do it on a temporary basis.
17 May 2026 16:05:19
Come off it, Enrique is a superb coach, and the closest thing to Klopp in today's game, in terms of his presence and ability to galvanize the team and the fans.
17 May 2026 16:09:57
Klopp on a temporary basis, no way. The man deserves more than that to even ask him that question.
17 May 2026 16:16:38
I'd take Alan Curbishley over Klopp atm.
17 May 2026 16:18:43
Undercover agent that gave me a laugh. What drivel.
He's a brilliant coach.
And as regards PSG taking whoever they want in France, out of their 24-man first team squad, guess how many are French???
8. Yes that's right, 8 French players.
17 May 2026 16:24:06
If PSG win this year's CL again, and LE indicates he's achieved all he can there and leaves at the end of this season and joins LFC, with us paying some compensation to PSG, and that was the plan all along, does Edwards become a genius!!……but where it has been hard to find the logic in letting Xabi go to Chelsea, the only scenario that would make that decision seem to make sense would be Enrique on the horizon, I guess! Because I like Hoeness and Iraola as a 2nd and 3rd choice after Xabi.
But Enrique tops the lot.

I'd legit let ChatGPT manage us at this point if it meant no more Slot. Keep Salah for a year while he learns his new role as our head of fitness.
17 May 2026 16:33:39
Eddie74, how about another year of Slothball, whilst waiting for Enrique to make it 3x CL's in a row?
Can anyone see that scenario playing out?
17 May 2026 16:40:58
Cantremember, his Spain team was the most boring football team I've ever seen (even worse than Slot-ball). Toothless passing with no end product. Similar at Roma.
He doesn't play with a No.9 so where would that leave Isak? He also doesn't play with a No.10 so where does Wirtz fit in? Liverpool can't afford to just write off £250m worth of players to suit a manager.
Never going to happen.
17 May 2026 16:57:47
FSW, I think the only person who would like that scenario would be Slot if he's adamant he can turn things around and redeem his reputation before getting his desire to move back home. I don't think at any other level it would be popular or a likely plan. However, the only feasible reason that makes sense to me re the Alonso snub is Enrique, but I think it would have to be at the end of this season to be a realistic scenario, and I cannot see him leaving PSG before his contract runs out at the earliest.
But then again, I never thought I'd see us adopting long throw tactics until Friday, so I will just say that when nothing seems to make sense everything is possible!!!
17 May 2026 17:12:12
No FSW...
Because so much can change so quickly...
What is another European giant comes in for LE? Then what? Again, just kicking the can down the road hoping for the best.
17 May 2026 16:54:08
Enrique favourite as next LFC manager/head coach? As a certain Ed used to say, they're teasing you.
17 May 2026 17:21:22
What are you own Undercover?
He went out in penalties against Morocco at the World Cup. Didn't play well, but Spain reached the semifinals in the previous EuroCup when nobody gave a cent about them (out only penalties against Italy, the winner).
He absolutely killed at FC Barcelona, and then spent only a year in Roma, a club that was in a bad state at that time. Did there what he does always; play young guys and aim always for the win. Miralem Pjanic got his breakthrough with Luis Enrique, then went to become an idol in Rome, winning the Scudetto several times.
Celta Vigo, you said? Nice little team that relies on academy guys, which Luis Enrique did at the time, as well as leaving then mid table in his single season... They haven't won a thing after or before Luis Enrique either, so there's that. Would love to see what Guardiola and the like do over there.
PSG and France a one-team league? Well put, that's right. I don't remember PSG challenging for the Champions League before him, though, let alone winning the title.
Absolutely wrong arguments from top to bottom... You better think twice next time you post about Luis Enrique.
17 May 2026 17:50:32
If Enrique, for some reason, has decided he'd join Liverpool in 2027, and the club decided to stick by Slot until then, a few things would happen. 1) Players would want out. 2) Football would remain dire. 3) We'd win Eff all next season. 4) We'd miss out on Champions League next season. 5) Enrique would see the position of the club, and go elsewhere as he's not going to be short of offers.
We should have gone all in on Xabi, the longer we leave it, the more we'll start scraping the barrel.
17 May 2026 17:59:02
As anyone who's been paying attention knows, Klopp doesn't want a full time club appointment thus I said he would step in temporarily if needed in my opinion.
