No worries if you don't believe about my connections to the FSG legal team. I work in private equity of which both FSG as well as Dynasty (and Red Bird at that) are direct clients under our book.

Was planning on digging deeper to know the exact structure and how various members of the consortium plan to be involved with the team but I guess most here apparently know more than I do.

Good luck all and no wonder some choose to not continue sharing info on this site anymore.

It's the internet. You're not gonna be hit with nice comments or people licking your arse all the time, I'm afraid.

11 Aug 2026 07:36:58
Yeah, agree with FM. Don't expect everyone to take your word as gospel and to treat you like an ITK. It's a rumours site, so it's bound to happen.

11 Aug 2026 07:55:12
I feel like if you did work for a legal firm and discussed client info/details of a deal not publicly available on an internet forum, that's surely a sackable offence?

11 Aug 2026 09:01:23
That's real dedication - sacrificing integrity of your own company for a website which states rumours and transfer news.

11 Aug 2026 09:28:50
Validation from strangers on the interweb is very important, in fairness, these days, Stradarosso.

11 Aug 2026 13:56:03
I've seen you post similar stuff over the last couple of years and I know for a fact that nobody would bother trying to look for recognition by making those kind of posts, which are so naturally infrequent due to their nature.

I think you're legit and I very much appreciate the info.

I think you'd be a fool to let a couple of pi**takers affect you. Ignore them, keep posting. Sticks and stones. I would be very keen to hear what you could find out. And no better way to stick it to the haters.

11 Aug 2026 15:29:33
Legit or not, surely you would be subject to appropriate NDAs if you are indeed connected. So, you come across as in need of attention, having to disclose your supposed source/s. As COTG stated, sackable at a minimum.

11 Aug 2026 16:05:39
Wow, will appreciate any insight you can give, but please make sure you don't disclose info that you shouldn't. I think this place is great, but it's not worth losing your job over.

11 Aug 2026 16:51:53
I'm sure a fair percentage of our ITK's could lose their job were they found to be posting here...

10 Aug 2026 23:42:21
With all that’s going on, I presume Barcola will be done & dusted post Bezos minority stake purchase (FSG to use the “purchase funds” as a tax write off) therefore decreasing the tax payable from the minority sale, which also makes sense of loaning Araujo before purchase as the loan fee is significantly lower & also the fact he’s taken a pay cut (most likely subsidised by a one off PAYE bonus).

Just a thought & reading between the lines.

I'm thinking Bonmati.

11 Aug 2026 01:30:27
I'll go with Gavi.

My Man Mbaye.

Oh, here we go again.

11 Aug 2026 12:37:22
Valverde.

Re the Bezos and crew money.

Been doing some research and trying to work out what will happen with the cash as due to reasons I don't understand, they can't just spend it on players.

Apparently club debt is pretty low, 200 million ish interest free loan from initial investment and 60/70 million bank loan. So that could be scrubbed right off the bat and I assume that 200 million goes back into FSG group anyway?

If that is all they do with the money I think it puts the team in a great financial position.

Man Utd for instance are servicing over 750 million in debt, interest alone is approx 1.2 million a week.

I suspect they may spend money on continuing the stadium upgrades, (Please do not sell the naming rights Amazon Anfield)

My hope is the multi club model tbh.

Triple A rating for the stadium.

Anfield Amazon Arena.

10 Aug 2026 18:06:15
What cash? The money to buy the stake in the club goes to FSG, not Liverpool. It is up to FSG what they do with it.

10 Aug 2026 19:48:03
They also can't increase stadium capacity without better transport links, so not easy to do. Although we could easily fill an 80k stadium.
I don't think this minority steak does anything for us financially.

10 Aug 2026 20:39:20
Would they be that rich they could sort the transport links? How much would ye be talking?

10 Aug 2026 21:11:02
It would have to be done with the council's help, Flo.

10 Aug 2026 21:28:45
The key fact here is Henry and Werner are both 76. They are looking at how to exit. Likely much of this money ends up with them. For the club, debt will be cleared and liquidity provided. This liquidity is not to change operating policies, but is to make cashflow easier by, for example, allowing the club to pay the huge amounts still owing on Isak, Wirtz etc., without having to sell first, or being able to conclude deals easier because we can pay more upfront.

10 Aug 2026 22:45:38
That was kinda my point. It's FSG money, who could choose to take a small portion of arguably free money.

Very interesting position to be in. Especially considering how bad things have been in the past.

11 Aug 2026 03:00:52
The stake brings a bigger network of interested parties, which should help commercial deals. I read somewhere FSG have a loss to offset, so tax-wise it may be a good time to also realise some profit on their equity.

On the pitch I don't see any impact short term, medium term may help with PSR headroom if they help us grow.

10 Aug 2026 10:19:26
In case people get their knickers in a twist about Barcola apparently preferring Arsenal based on a NewsNow headline claiming a 'pundit' says Barcola prefers Arsenal.

Well, the 'pundit' is Perry Groves.

Enough said.

10 Aug 2026 11:18:48
Just beat you to it, Zed, on the post below.

His actual words were 'I have a source that tells me he wants to live in London'.

All of the other pundits and a French journalist based in Paris said that they expect him to go to Liverpool.

Wishful thinking from Groves, hopefully.

10 Aug 2026 12:40:17
Perry Groves barely knows where he lives, I doubt Barcola has taken him into confidence, lol.

10 Aug 2026 16:32:46
Didn't Semenyo or Guehi say something similar

10 Aug 2026 09:55:57.
Barcola will be back from holiday today, so I think this week we’ll find out more about what’s going on.

I was listening to TalkSh*te yesterday (had a long drive and wanted to keep up to date with our score) and Perry Groves said he had a source who’s told him Barcola wants to live in London.

I know he’s a biased Gooner, but it wouldn’t be the first time a player had chosen the bright lights of London over the North West of England.

10 Aug 2026 15:21:11
Also, why would anyone want to live in London. Absolutely horrific place. I always think of Mos Eisley, Tatooine. "Wretched hive of scum and villainy".

I'd rather live in literally any other place in England. I don't even like going to London for a day trip. It stinks, it's over crowded, it's loud, it's dirty, nothing is being maintained etc. Hate the place.

10 Aug 2026 16:03:42
Couldn't have said it any better myself, MK.

10 Aug 2026 17:52:55
Not to mention, it is overpriced... I only live about an hour from London and I haven't been in a couple of years.

10 Aug 2026 19:49:48
MK Scouser, a post of yours I can't abide with at last. London is all of those things in places. But, it's a metropolis, and has all the things that aren't on your list... like community, quiet streets. Clean roads, so many trees it's classified as a forest apparently!! I've lived in London for over 20 years.

It is s*** and it is beautiful, full of dickheads and some of my favorite people in the world. There aren't too many places on earth like London.

10 Aug 2026 21:16:35
That's fair, 1988. I live about half an hour outside London and I do go into the city on occasion for work and for pleasure.

I've had some great days out in London, it's an amazing city. Being from Liverpool, I couldn't get over the sheer scale of London. It's an enormous city with, yes, some places you really don't want to go, but some places you would be really missing out if you didn't see first hand.

Nowadays though, with the money these guys earn and the transport links, they can go to pretty much any city in Europe on their days off, as we saw with Dom last season galavanting around Rome. I don't think the place they live is as important as it used to be.

10 Aug 2026 08:58:47
What a boring transfer window we have had so far. Surely, our targets were identified months ago. Rh seems to be transfixed with making huge signings e.g. Isak, Wirtz, Diomande and Barcola, so we miss out on strengthening the squad overall.

10 Aug 2026 12:42:32
1) World Cup
2) New Manager who wanted time to assess the players, including those from the academy.

Not really that surprising.

09 Aug 2026 22:59:48
Can anyone see us buying anyone more than a Salah replacement (Barcola). I'm really worried by our defence and think we need a first choice RB, LB and CB to partner VVD. Hope Ajauro helps. Not convinced either RB or LB is good enough to be first choice

Agree1

09 Aug 2026 23:49:59
They're good enough, Tjury, don't worry.

We have VVD, Jaquet, Leoni, Gomez and Araujo. A partnership of any of those players should be good enough to beat most teams.

I really think Kerkez will have a good season this year.

He looks so determined and I love Bradley, he'll be our right back for years to come.

We might have to improvise for the first couple of months of the season whilst everyone gets fit and up to speed, but there's no need for panic.

10 Aug 2026 00:21:57
Never mind partnering VVD, he himself needs to get back to his best.
He's probably the best defender I have ever seen play in my 30 odd years of watching LFC, but time waits for no-one. He needs to find his feet again, but I am confident he can have one last stellar season.

10 Aug 2026 09:44:51
I agree, Westwood. I thought Virgil was the root cause of most of our issues last season.

He had a couple of lazy moments yesterday too that led to goals and allowed Monaco back into a game they were barely competing in.

Let's hope that's due to him only just coming back, because if he plays like he did last season it'll be a long, hard season again.

09 Aug 2026 22:43:46
Arunjo is a clever signing. Munoz looks good. Barcola and Mbaye look like getting over the line soon. But Djed Spence and Alex Scott should be on our list too. Scott is better and less injury prone than Wharton. Spence is just brilliant, and ridiculously cheap considering his brilliant WC! The lad was good enough for us after his Forest loan, heaven knows why we let him go to Spurs.

Reminded me of the first time I saw Robbo play for Hull.

Agree6

10 Aug 2026 10:13:36
I think it will be either Barcola or Mbaye, and we may strengthen midfield, although I think Nyoni has surprised in preseason, and with Stephan B on his way back, I cannot see us spending £80 plus on a player we don't really need.
