Wouldnt be surprised to see curtis jones leave this summer he doesn't look happy with substitute role and i am starting to think we will never see his full potential and he might actually need a move to have more of an important role. I also think this applys to elliot, quansah and definitely morton.

Looks happy to me and defended his teammates vs Everton. And he was ONE player the new gaffer trusted to rotate in when needed. He also can play in multiple positions. Don't see any drama here.

Curtis gets plenty of chances to be fair.
If you look at his appearances, he started Chelsea home and away, Arsenal home and away, Villa home and away, Everton at home, City away and Newcastle away. He cannot complain about that!
His injury record has been much better this year so he should be commended on whatever he has done to improve that.
Unfortunately, he's not improved his one major flaw - holding onto the ball too long. Whether he will ever be able to change that will define his long term career/ success.

26 starts and 18 sub appearances doesn't exactly strike me as horrifying. He's been our go-to guy most of the time when any one out of McAllister, Gravenberch or Szoboszlai have been rested or rotated, and I assume will continue as so.
If he wants to start the majority of games, he has to become better than one of those three. Whilst he's a decent player (although he still hold onto the ball too long), I don't see him doing that. Although personally I'd move McAllister further forward and have Jones battle it out with Szob and it's not entirely out of the question he could reach Szob's level. If nothing else, Szob's work rate puts him well ahead for now.
I suppose it's a case of whether he's happy with his current game time, I guess.

Any homegrown players left?

Keep Endo, sell Jones, buy a proper playmaker.

Curtis Jones is probably the same as how my wife describes me in the bedroom.
Decent in a number of positions but not great at any of them.

Very good, JK, very good. I was going to say I only play in one position, at the back, but I won't, because there are children on this site.

6 Gold Stars. By my count we have 15 non Home Grown players over the age of 21, plus Mamardashvili to arrive is 16. You can register 17.
We could possibly sell Nunez, Chiesa and Jota and replace them with 2 players to cut that down to 15, although I'm not sure there'd be great demand for Chiesa and Jota, it mightn't be possible to offload both. Despite his poor form, Nunez has at least a track record of being fit, so there shouldn't be too much difficulty with him.
But then Alexander-Arnold's replacement in the squad might bring us back up to 16. Unless we get someone HG like Walker-Peters to act as understudy / rotation option to Bradley as first choice.
I'd assume Tsimikas, Endo and maybe Robbo, would be replaced on a like for like basis and not change the overall number.
But yeah, getting rid of any three out of Elliot, Quansah, Jones and Gomez, and replacing them with non-HG players may result in some squad selection headaches. If we do sell three of those, surely at least one would have to be replaced by a promotion from within. Koumas perhaps? Maybe even only bring in 1 forward and promote Danns, but with him writing off nearly the whole season injured, that's a big risk. Personally I think Jones and Quansah will stay though.
Morton was barely used this season, so we can sell him without replacing him.

Frimpong would be classed as home grown if signed, I would expect Robertson to stay and see out his contract and work with whichever left back is brought in.

Jones ain't going nowhere unless he's told he's not wanted and he's is very much wanted by Slot. This I know for certain, so don't start bollocks rumours ?.

Exactly sr, makes me laugh when people come on and say we will sell quansah jones Gomez elliot and replace them with X, ed 02 used to put them in their place.

I’m not a massive fan of Jones’s style of play to be 100% honest and I’m not convinced he will ever be in the nailed on 1st team starting line up but he seems a decent lad, loves the club and is a good squad option. Whether Jones is happy long term as a squad player remains to be seen but hopefully he can kick on and work on a few areas.
12 May 2025 18:21:36
He looks very happy with his role. He’s not playing well enough to be first choice.
12 May 2025 18:58:40
I think he feels he is worth more than fleeting roles, also trent celebrated winning the league like his life depended on it we got really excited then he done a video saying he is leaving, so jones is a scouser and naturally didn't take no rubbish of dacoure.

Jones and Gomez are probably going nowhere.
