Are there any legs in the Etitke stories?
Stylistically/ talent wise, he reminds me of Isak 2 years ago, but I don’t see his finishing ability as being any better than Darwin’s.
Also I think his prospensity to drop deep constantly, would’ve suited Klopp, but not Slot.
Anyone seen more of him than me, that can put me right?

Not really seen much of him but he doesn’t look worth the rumoured £84m price tag from what little I have seen.

He’s scored 22 goals this season so sounds like his finishing is nothing like Darwin’s.

Ritchie and Babbity good points gents, so the comparison is then that both players have only had one stand out season in their careers goal scoring wise which I can’t argue against.
Coincidentally they both came when the players were around 22 years old but the big difference is Etitike has done it in 2024/ 25 and Darwin in 2021/ 22 so one is current the other in the past.

Also Ekitike has done it in the bundesliga and Nunez in the Portuguese league.

Victor Osmihen looks good from what I have seen. Excellent Technique and is lethal in the air. He is also no bully. That face mask is too intimidating for a striker. We should sign him.

Is the Bundesliga any better than the Portuguese league? Players like Werner and Sancho were tearing it up in Germany but struggled in the PL.

German league is probably the closest league physically to English league although still nowhere near it. Portuguese league is so so poor I pay no attention to goals scored over there, look at what Gyjokores is doing with sporting. I was a little underwhelmed by initial rumours of Ekitike but after watching him a bit and looking at his stats I can see exactly why Liverpool would and should be interested, outside of Isaak he is the best available option for us.

Spot on, MKS. Seen him play play a couple of times in the EL this season and doesn't move any needles for me, either. And no, ain't paying 84m for Eketike who was just as raw as Darwin was when we signed him. Already been there and definitely ain't doing that again.
