If we were after an English player with money aside I'd love cole palmer. Splits opinion with imo silly stuff but he's a fantastic footballer. Very very gifted. Salah has imo 1 more year left not 2 but I'd love palmer to replace salah on the right. Realistic? Absolutely not but I think the lad doesn't get enough respect. He's top drawer.

Agree fully Thunderbird. Palmer hasn’t been very good from wide. Luckily, I think Salah still has another 3 or 4 years in his legs.

Overrated. He’s a good player but nowhere near the player the English media try to paint him out to be.
He’s capable of some wonderful stuff but then so are a lot of Premier League players.
He was a good buy for Chelsea at £40m but it’s not worth buying him now as he’d cost more than £100m due to the hype around him and he’s just not worth anywhere near that.

Palmer has never shown up in the big games as far as I can tell. He was also pretty bad the second half of the season. Granted a lot of that has to do with maresca, but he is far from being as good as people tend to think.
