Wirtz looks like a bargain at the minute.
{Ed025's Note - friendlies are just that though Ernie...friendly, wait until he comes up against the likes of Tarks mate and he puts him in the stands, this is a very hard league unlike the Bundesliga where you are given time on the ball, saying that i do like him and if he can adjust to the physical side of things he could become the next Adrian Heath.. :)

Agreed, as long as james doesn't try snapping his leg i think he'll be alright ? looks like a proper playmaker with late runs into the box as well, can't think who he reminds me of.

Ed025 he looks to have an amazingly quick footballing brain, he’s always a step ahead of everyone else on the pitch. So I think he’s going to be totally fine with the whole time on the ball thing because he doesn’t need it. As far as the physicality side of things, he’s a big lad he’ll be fine. I reckon we’ve signed an all time prem great to be honest and I’m not wearing my red tinted specs before you say it ?
Looking forward to the derbys this year Ed? First derby in your new stadium should be good.
{Ed025's Note - you look very strong Mikey and have recruited some top talent there mate i must say, the new ground looks great but teams seem to struggle with new grounds so we will have to wait and see on that one, but it should be very interesting..

That’s my memory, not reliable these days.
{Ed025's Note - he was the catalyst of our success Ron, scored the goal that meant we went on to lift the FA cup mate and that was the start of our resurgence, we then built a great side that won the League and Cup Winners Cup in 85 and at that time we were the best team in Europe, unfortunately we were banned along with all English clubs because of the events at Heysel, we did not fulfill our destiny of course and from then it all went a bit tits up..

Think you’ll need to give Tranmere a few seasons to be able to give us a game, and Accrington Stanley (ooerdey? ) even longer.
We’ll just have to stand tall as the only Merseyside club worth mentioning for now ?.

You could have done a treble in '85, too, Ed025. United won the FA Cup though after going down to ten men after Kevin Moran was sent off.
Big Norman Whiteside bent one into the bottom corner in extra time, if I remember correctly.

Ooph ed25 im not sure about that now. c'mon man you are always on the ball and honest in your assessments on players, and quick to point out the red tinted specs.
Tarkowski (doesnt play for england) is nowhere near the level of Konate (20+ caps for france) . Get those blue tinted specs off mate.
{Ed025's Note - Tarks is just a no nonsense honest centre half Bmena and i like that, its all about these fleet of foot skillful ballers these days playing at the back but i like a bit of a bully as well mate, let these ballet dancers who fall over if there is a strong breeze know they are in a game i say..
