Curious as to what everyone sees as a success this year in their eyes?
Wondering how many of us have the expectation we should win Number 7 or 21.
Or do some not expect to win the league or champions league this year? Could be one of the first times in a long time im unsure myself. Interesting to know other’s opinion on what would be successful and what wouldn’t.

If you spend what we have, you need to win at least one of the big ones in my opinion or questions will be asked. If we win just a domestic up or less, the pressure will be on going in to the 26/ 27 season.

I don't think that you should ever expect to win any competition before the season starts. We should however expect to be in the mix for every competition.

I always expect us to win everything. This season even more so.
This squad is potentially better than 19/ 20 which was an unbelievable team. I expect us to be Englands dominant force both domestically and in Europe for the next 5 years.

With what we spent and who we brought in it would be a massive disappointed if we didn't win one of the two major trophies. Would want number 21 personally.

Realistically for me, another league title, I think we will do 1 of the domestic cups, and i think we will go to at least the final of the champions league, if everyone stays fit, and the new signings adapt. Can't see why not.

I would love a league and league cup double. You can never expect anything though, I think success would be going deeper in Europe, at least taking pl to last game of season and a domestic trophy. It is weird as we have made a lot of big signings but also had a lot of outgoings, so a lot depends on how the team integrates and gels together.

Maybe I am a pessimist but given the amount of upheaval at the club, not just this summer but last summer too, I would genuinely be happy with a top 4 finish and a good run in the cups.
I get that this might be less than what people expect, but we did incredibly well last season but the amount of changes we have now made, there's a decent chance we might be starting games this season with 6 players out of 11 that weren't with us last season.
That is a massive ask. The club is building for the future and I understand that while they do that, we may not hit last season's highs again immediately.

If you spend this much then you have to win the league. However i'd just about settle for 2nd and No.7, chuck in a cup and i'm in, i'll get on board. But no less.

We’ve bought no points or easy cup runs. We’ve bought footballers hoping that they do better or as well as players that played before them. We MIGHT have won the transfer market but there’s no trophies for it.

To be around the semifinals of champions league and challenge for the title. City got to be faves for everything they won’t be crap again. Arsenal tweaked so got to be in the mix Chelsea dark horses but I reckon Utd could surprise us especially if they get Baleba too. But going to the end.

As Shankley said, and it still stands as far as I’m concerned, the League title is our bread and butter.
Premiership plus maybe a cup would be a dream for me as a life long supporter going back to Shanks era.

Two league titles ? so we jump straight into 22. Champions lauge win and due to having the world's most handsome fans instant admittance into the UEFA cup final. Every domestic cup and Newcastle to get decent recruitment staff so we can poach any decent players far more quickly. Man U to face a season long relegation battle and city not allowed to spend any money on transfers for 5 years due to been utter cheating wretches. Chuck in a few bananas on top of that and this ridiculously silly monkey will be happy.

This is the Transition year, not last year as was thought. 4-5 new first team players who all need to learn Slots way of playing will be harder to make a consistently successful winning team than last year where the new manager kept things similar to the previous manager. Salah has been off it since Feb and VVD is another season older. Konate future uncertainty could impact him. Top 4 and a cup. Don’t think we’ll win Premier League unless it only needs mid 80 points again and maybe if draw is kind quarter finals of big ears.

Some differences there folks in opinions, nevertheless interesting to know others takes.
Im under the mindset off it all depends on how the season turns out. I think if we flatter to deceive in the league and don't challenge and miss out then that will be disappointing obviously.
However, i think its important to keep in mind as some have said this squad may have to gel. So even potentially just getting top 4 without a cup won't be the end of the world as long as we are competitive!
I always think on my actual opinion if you bring some type of silverware in and miss out on the big 2 due to brilliance of other teams i can digest that.
I remember not so long ago we went 7 years without a trophy till we got our hands back on big ears funny enough. Its sometimes i think important to have abit of perspective whilst we are all talking about league titles an so on, im sure Ed25 would sell his soul now for the Carabo cup and understandably.

Definitely mate, what’s your hopes for this season realistically? A little bit of steadiness? For example finishing mid table challenging abit more for European cup spaces and even a somewhat cup run.
It’s almost sad for you lot how poor the last few years have been. There use to be a somewhat concern use would win a cup or was qualifying for europe that has all gone now. You exicted to see what Moyes can do with a few players he wants to bring in.
{Ed025's Note - im certainly more optimistic than i was when Dyche was at the helm KK, new manager, new owners and a new stadium gives me plenty of hope mate, time will tell i suppose but just enjoying watching us will make a nice change..

Some good coups to be fair Ed seems a lot more positive compared to previous years.
With that being said still don't fancy use having much success! The derby wins for use are enough to keep me up all night having nightmares, let alone use win a trophy again in my lifetime mate!
