With the news Mainoo wants out, and with his price slashed, would anyone be interested? I guess its a position we have a bit of cover already.
Be nice to have more British talent in the team though.

No, he is slow, doesn't cover ground, doesn't have a good passing range, does not press well. He is great with the ball at his feet, though, can dribble in small spaces, can carry (though he is not a powerful runner) and break the press, obviously has a nose for goal too and good technique. That just means that he is good on one side of the ball and not at all on the other, as a 10 he is probably most effective but as an 8 that inability to get around the pitch off the ball makes him a bit of a liability, never mind playing as a 6, which amorim tried last year. In some ways he is a worse version of Harvey Elliott, except Elliott has a much better all around game, has a range of passing, is more proactive and works harder.

He wants to leave because he wants first team football and £150k a week. I would happily have him in our squad but I wouldn't want to offer him either of those things.

Never understood the hype myself. Anyone considered not good enough for United at the moment, is definitely not an upgrade on any of our u21s. Hard no from me.

I like that he spent his off season trying to improve which bodes well for his mentality (and prob explains why he is not happy that he isn’t getting chances) but the little I’ve seen of him I don’t get the impression he reads the game very well at all.

It just goes to show you only have to have four or five good games at man utd and your in the England squad shows how bias it is Mainoo perfect example now he can't get in a poor side.
