Dont shoot me all for having a take on this!
However does anyone feel we could see the last of Mo this season? Obviously i understand he’s notched a goal an assist to start the season, however he has looked abit off the boil since the end of last season.
I do wonder again just a take! If he keeps going the way he is, then maybe the club might look to cash in next summer. He has been an absolute phenom for us and last season was honestly absurd what he done to help us win the title.
With that being though i do think FSG are very smart and if they believe it’s his last contract, along with him potentially slowing down i think we may cash in. From there perspective it would be unreal business.
Again just a hunch all, im not for one saying i want him gone or so on and he has sometimes started off slow and went on to prove everyone wrong. I just have a feeling with Isak, Ekitike and the addition of Wirtz changing things around we may see a change on the horizon sooner than we think.
Interesting to hear everyones thoughts? I could be thinking a load of bull, but guys please don't think its anything on me wanting Mo out, i will be devastated when he eventually leaves.

I imagine they will give Mo whatever option he wants rather than try to sell. He has been an immense servant to the club that he will be allowed to see out his contract or take one last pay day abroad. Liverpool have had 100 times their investment in Salah so I don’t see them looking at him as a cash cow now.

The system has changed and he is less involved to save his legs. Add in getting used to a different rb as him and Trent were good. Check out the Adam Clearly channel on YouTube. Fantastic analysis channel who shows you the difference this season and the impact on mo.

Guys been written off for like 7 seasons in a row. I see no difference this season.
He’ll be Top 3 scorers, Top 3 assists, Premier League player of the year.

I think mo has played a bit like the team as a whole have played in 1st 3 games, bit rusty, jota tragedy has taken its effect and struggled a bit with 3/ 4 new players coming into the team to gel.
I've no doubt he like the team will only improve from now on.

Agree @LFC8.There’s a bit of adapting to be done up top with the arrival Wirtz, Ekitike and Isak. Give them all, including Mo, 6 - 12 games to figure out what works and Mo will be back on song.

If you see Mo's reaction to Curtis missing a simple tap in against Arsenal it tells me all I need to know about his passion for the club
I personally see him in the top 3 again this season and here to stay breaking records along the way.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was Mo's last season.
He's used to being the main man up front, that ain't necessarily going to be the case any more with the new arrivals.
Throw in the unpredictable variable of losing his mate in tragic circumstances.
He does tend to blow hot and cold during games, this could be a phase now where Slot could start subbing him off when he's just not on it and we need the goals.
If it is his last season, I dearly hope he's leaving with some fresh additions to his medal collection.

I wouldn't be surprised if he stays or goes, and I think Darwin is right, it'll be his choice at the end of the season.
I in no way think he's done, I think he'll have another sterling season, but part of me thinks he'll win the league, think "that's for Diogo" and will sail off into the sunset on a solid gold Saudi boat. Enjoy him while we can.

He has been off the boil but he's still creating at least one big chance and getting one big chance himself every game. Mo doesn't need to dominate games, he still manages to do the business when it counts. I predict he's still going to end up in the top 3 scorers this year and in the top 2 on the assist charts.

Mo will see his last 2 years with us . he must be one of the fittest players at the club . every season people doubt him n at the end of the season he's top scorer n lately top assists . this season will be no different.

I can well imagine a big Saudi bid next summer.
It’s up to him and the club though if they feel it’s time.
He can’t play at this level forever and the days are becoming numbered, so wouldn’t be surprised if this is his last season. But equally wouldn’t be surprised to see him go another year again.

Firstly, it’s been 3 games.
Secondly, Isak, Ekitke and Wirtz are nods to the future post 2027 when Salahs contract is up.
He may find himself being less significant as the force of our attack now seems to be directed more centrally, but that won’t happen over night, he will still have major part to play this season as the new lads bed in.

Kenny, it's been 3 games. Chill and enjoy the show.

OliRed i am more than fine mate. Its not just a case of him being off the boil, there's multiple things.
The passing of Diogo you can clearly see has took its toll on Mo, so this may factor into his decision. He may want to have one more season at the top and feel that he has given his all. There’s no definitive answer as to why i had the take, there are a few reasons it could end up being his last season.
I hope he stays and has 2 more stellar seasons for us, but as said i just wondered what other peoples thoughts on it was. As i can see in a world due to multiple factors, where it may be his last season.
Cheers everyone for your takes anyway, a few different insights there.

AFCON is coming up, it could be the last chance he has to do something with Egypt and doesn't want to be injured/ tired for that. I reckon that's the reason for the slow start.

Not having a pop at anybody, just an observation but we (including me) do this every season - he is losing firm, he isn’t as good as he has been - at the start of the season, then come March or April we worry ourselves to death that he will leave.
I think there’s a slight difference this season in that Frimpong, Wirtz, Szoboszlai and even Bradley can play further up on the right side, so perhaps we have viable successors in place and getting used to what Slot wants form the advanced right sided heirs.

Every time I doubt Mo it comes back around to make me look silly, so I'm not doing it again. One way or another he'll smash it because that's just what he does.

Mo occupies two or three players which leaves space for others . Teams are scared stiff of Mo and they plan their teams around stopping him so even if he is not scoring he is helping the team.
Ps does anyone think he has a cob on because Robbo is vice captain?
