I really don’t understand match reviews where a keeper gets a 6, but didn’t let any goals in or really have anything to deal with. Is that his fault or Burnley’s fault? Salah a 3 but scored the winning goal? Did either contribute much during the game, absolutely not. Did both do their job? Absolutely. Individual ratings are absurd in a team sport. We can’t win every game 10-0 as much as I’d enjoy it. Burnley parked two buses and we still found a way. Get behind the team and stop criticising. Also, it’s pointless. The team would have felt great after that win today, and then a lot of them will see pointless rubbish on social media. It’s a sport. So support. Rant over.

Well said Jr. Another 3 points, Job done.

salah has been a 3 for about a year now.

@Faith, I have to disagree, without his goals and assists we would still be on 19 and not 20.
Not every single player, actually not any player ever, is capable of being anywhere near perfect for all facets of the game all the time.
It doesn’t mean a player can’t make a crucial contribution without being perfect.
{Ed078's Note - At various times over the past few years Salah has looked a bit "off it". From sloppy touches, to wayward passing. I've often compared his consistent skill level to other top, top players, and I haven't rated him as highly. But, you cannot argue with his numbers, both in goals and assists. However he gets the job done, he gets it done and has never let us down. I'd be surprised, even with Hugo and Isak joining, if he isn't our top contributor again.

Cheers for the advice JR but I’m sure the hundreds of millions of LFC fans worldwide will continue to have their own opinions whether you think they are pointless or not.
Maybe don’t read player reviews if they upset you that much.

I would agree - Salah's technical skill in terms of consistent first touch, dribbling and weak foot isn't as good as he is an overall player, which is why he can be quite frustrating against deep defences. In fairness, any issues are compounded by referees that allow him to be grabbed by opposition players with impunity.
What is beyond question is his overall contribution to the team. From that perspective, he's an all-time great.

Salah is priceless ya sausage!

I mean if you look at it objectively are those figures actually wrong?
If you are scoring from 0-10 then surely a five is completely neutral - you didn’t have any positive or negative influence on a game overall.
Ali didn’t do much but what little he had to do (such as distribution) I thought he did quite well. So I think a 6 is about right.
Mo for the large part was incredibly poor yesterday. Anybody else who wasn’t called “Mo Salah” would have been hooked. Yes he scored the decisive penalty but even still I don’t think a 3 is particularly unkind as he really struggled in open play. Depends whether him scoring a penalty massively overrides his play overall. That’s subjective but yesterday I thought he was a passenger.

Our own fans are too quick praise Isak (who we haven't seen yet) assuming he would have changed course or made us look better yesterday than support who has helped us all the while.
There are so many changes in the team -
Etikete up top
Wirtz still trying to find his feet
Left back change (Kerkez)
Right back change (Szobo)
Biggest of them is not having TAA which is magnifying the issue as we don't have anyone who can do that sporadic piece of magic.
All of these is isolating our star man Salah and they way we are playing (early days) but it was very slow and Burnley were defending with 6 to 7 players at the back.
Also all the attack is starting from the left (opposite) and looks like Slot wants to delibrately reduce the dependency on one player (Salah) to channel our attacks.
But we saw the quality of game improve as soon as Bradley came but there is a big difference in not having TAA (as he used to start all those attacks with quality passes) and now we are channeling it through the middle.
Grav is good and has his own strengths but not a playmaker who can spread those passes and start attacks.
We are going through accomodating so many changes. it will take time and has to be seen who steps up.

Mo may not be playing his best, but he is still an output merchant and he will contribute plenty of goals and assists!
15 Sep 2025 09:51:05
He is playing slightly worse but f. eks Yesterday he was surrounded by 3 to 4 players at all times. It can't be easy!

@Jr - Ali did everything you’d expect of him yesterday, but had very little to do, yet still stayed focused. I don’t see how he can be rated anything other than a 6? Mo had a stinker and, although he rattled in a penalty, he miscontrolled, mis-hit, and gave away the ball more times then I care to remember yesterday. He’s a club legend, a huge figure in our recent successes, a seemingly great guy on and off the pitch - no question - but it’s a match review, and he has a really bad game. It’s not a personal attack, it’s an assessment of his performance. If you disagree that’s fine, but I subjective ratings rile you up so much you might be better off giving match reviews a miss.

Mo Salah is the man who will still be top scorer n top in assists this season . yea he can be frustrating sometimes anonymous but then at the end of nearly every game, he has a goal/ assist contribution . also he is always double marked . iv learned to live with his off days.
