My god the negativity lads.
I'm glad I resisted coming on here since Saturday.
It's like 30 years in the wilderness never happened.
I think it's amazing that we are not playing well, but we've won 5 lost 1.
Did everybody think we were going to go unbeaten?
We are in the mix at the right end of the league. Which is also amazing.
Get stuck in, support the feck out of the team, enjoy the ride.
We won't win the league every year, but guess what, no team does.
YNWA -.

Couldn't agree more. You have said exactly what I have been thinking every time I have visited over the last few days.

Just an opportunity for the cave dwellers to have their day out in the sun. as long as we don't have too many of these occasions over the season we'll be right.

Spot on, @Molby. The same people doing this are prolly the same people who said we giving it the big'uns about us having a transfer window of a life time.
Seems they forgot to factor in the growing pains that having the "transfer window of a lifetime" would bring.

Prolly Oli.
Far too many emotions on this site.

once the team "gels" and Slot finds the right balance. I think we're going to give some good teams a good thumping.
Wirtz, Isak, Kerkez, Frimpong, going to settle in and go on to have a very good season. Ekitike finding his feet fairly early on was a bonus.
I think we'll be in and around top 2/ 3 until February then pull away from the rest.

God darnit, I didn't want to ruin the surprise but we win the next six games on the bounce. that's all I'm telling you.
I ve given you too much already.

As the biggest LFC fan I can say that almost this hand wringing is ****y.

Very well said mate, I visit the site very often but I aren't interested in getting in discussions with constant negativity when there's barely any reason to be negative. I'd understand it a little if we'd lost a few games but we've won 6 of our 7 with new players, young players trying to adapt to the team/ country. The negativity is uncalled for.
I'm actually very positive about the season ahead, I'm as excited as I was during the transfer window and I fully believe we'll go on to win the league this season, absolutely no doubts in my mind. I don't believe it'll be close either, I think we'll smash it.

This why I’ve never understood the endless clamour for new signings. Some think that trophies are won and lost in the transfer window and it’s just not true.
I had mates texting me absolutely buzzing because we’d signed Wirtz like it was going to transform us into the best team the world has ever seen and I said I was a bit concerned about signing ‘the best player in Germany’ because so many of them don’t do well over here. I was told to shut up he’s the best midfielder in the world and will take us to the next level.
Now those same people are texting me moaning that Wirtz is a problem and shouldn’t play and it’s me who’s saying just give him some time!
Everyone wants instant gratification these days and throw their toys out of their pram when they don’t get it. It winds me right up I just can’t deal with these people.

Spot on, Robbo. I think people way too much when things go well and then, go to the other extreme when things don't go well and do way too much on that side. I wanted Wirtz and was super excited for us when we got him. That did not remove from the fact that I knew he would need time to adjust to the country, league team mates, tactics etc. You can't cheat the process cos the adaptation period cannot be avoided, period.
The only thing you can hope for is that the process goes a bit quicker but that is not under anyone's control. I remember Klopp saying that he had no idea Szobo, Macca and Endo would hit the ground running as quick as they did 2 years ago cos well, you simply CANNOT know any of that before hand. If the manager does not know these things then, nobody knows.
Like you, it is the instant gratification that is killing a lot of footie discussions these days. It's as if you aren't allowed to be level headed in your analysis anymore, good or bad. Then, they accuse you of not backing your team. Or not wanting to criticise the team, as if there is NO middle ground btw the two. It's mental, man.

When did Endo hit the ground running?

I knew he would need time to adjust to the country, league team mates, tactics etc. You can't cheat the process cos the adaptation period cannot be avoided, period.
If that’s the case then how did Szobo and Macca hit the ground running as quick as they did.
Did they and Ekitike avoid the adaptation period that cannot be avoided.

Oli and contradiction, same thing.

OliRed, how can you not know a player will hit the ground running but also know, as a matter of fact, that Wirtz would need time?
How can you know that someone won't hit the ground running when you simply CANNOT know that beforehand?
Also, what is the process that is not under anyone's control? Do you think players, managers, coaches etc don't have any control about how new players settle in? And what about players that do cheat the process?
There are loads of players that have made a mockery of your uncontrollable process.
