Hey guys

Eds and posters what do you think about selling Alison Becker as he always seems to be injured for a long time which throws the team completely off. Find a really good keeper and sell him.

I also believe Gomez needs to play more either cb or rb.

Wirtz will come good or the team will get onto his wavelength as it causing him to lose confidence in his own ability.

Isak needs to wait for his shot. The same with Kerkez.

Sell Alisson? Stay off those drugs, son.

01 Nov 2025 22:02:52
Ali is still class in my books.

Alisson is a fantastic goalkeeper . you're right he is injured a lot for a goalkeeper, but we have adequate cover when he's out, but no way would I sell Alisson.

He’s the best keeper in the world. Are you on an E?

01 Nov 2025 22:26:11
He’s comfortably the best goalkeeper in the world.

Don’t sell him.

Finding a really good goalkeeper is a lot easier said than done, even if you have lots of money. Look at Mamardashvili. Despite big hype, so far he looks nowhere near the level required to be a number 1. I'd much rather persist with Alisson who plays 75% of games than sign someone else.

Ali hasn’t played well this season. Like one or two there his head seems not to be quite right this season. Personally I’d reserve judgement at this point in the season.

I think that's harsh on our stand in keeper. This is his first season. Yes we are blessed with Allison. Who remember even this season has made one on one stops the No Other Keeper could have saved.
Georgie is an outstanding shot stopper.

He is possible the best number 2 in the prem. imo anyway. He will get better and better. All goal keepers get better with age. Just like a nice bottle of Red Wine. SELLING ALLISON NEVER YNWA.

Marmadashvili pulled a top class save this evening, Babbitty. He’d start for almost every other team in the league bar maybe Arsenal or City. He’s a very good keeper.

{Ed001's Note - when? The shot straight at him, at a perfect height, that he parried back out? Nowhere near top class, just a basic save. He did nothing wrong, there were no top class saves needed, but he certainly didn't make any.}

Sell Alison? I thought I was p*ssed.

02 Nov 2025 01:25:37
Respectfully wdw what has Ali done wrong? If not for him a few of those five we won on the spin at the beginning of the season would have been draws or losses.

02 Nov 2025 09:05:40
Any competent GK would have made those saves so let's not get carried away, pls. Marma as any backup is asked to do, did no harm and did nothing wrong. You do that, you'll give your team a chance. He did his job and that is what we need. We don't need him to do an Ali. Man's a unicorn of a GK, IMO.

As for Ali being sold? Yeah, I proposed you go out side and get some air.

@PB, can’t really point to any particular example but watching us play he just hasn’t looked as assured or dominant in his penalty area as he has for the past few years now. Like others, Mo in particular, the off season tragedy and the general, ongoing, ‘work in progress for a changed squad and the way we want to play not having been achieved yet has messed with his confidence too.

As
I say, more a perception on my part than anything else. Hopefully he comes back from the injury on song and making me look like an idiot.

I get the reason behind it though. Allison is a great keeper, one of the best around. But him constantly having periods of being unavailable due to injury disrupts the team, especially the defence. The synergy between the keeper and defenders is important but them having to adjust to a new keeper every few weeks or so isn't ideal.

We've seen it with Kelleher where he and the defence looks shaky the first few games he comes in before they get used with one another. But when that finally happens, Allison is available again and the defence has to adjust to him before he inadvertently gets injured again and the cycle continues. It's more ideal to have a keeper who is available throughout than to have one who is constantly unavailable.

That being said, there's not many keepers around who are even close to Allison's level for a replacement so it's still best to keep him and work on managing his injuries.
