Well, as it is another international break, let's have some fun.
On the assumption that none of Guehi, Wharton, Anderson, Baleba and Semenyo can move until the summer window, what two signings would you all make in January to help us make the most of out of this season?

I would like to see Malick Fofana from Lyon flying down the left, We don't seem to be getting down that side as often, and if Lyon still need money he would come cheap. Also cover at the back, maybe Murillo at Forest.

I think my two would be Malick Fofana from Lyon would be a similar player to Luis Diaz down the left. Not frightened of going forward and taking people on and getting to the line, Has pace as well.
And hopefully Lyon still need a cash injection. We were keeping tabs on him before the last window closed.
Murillo at Forest, not the tallest but does his job well, doesn't seem to panic.

We ve made enough signings. Time to get the ones we have playing well.
Id be in favour of signing Guehi if cheap enough.
And I'd like Baleba still for DM next summer.
But we have the players to play far far better than we are and that's what full concentration should be on.
Fully get the question was just for fun and you wanted to get players thoughts on some players out there but for once, I barely think about signings and I love transfer windows. We really do need to get what we have performing to their true level because it's certainly nowhere near right now.

I’d want to go big on a centre back like Bastoni, we’re flogging a dead horse with Ibou, he clearly wants to leave Liverpool
You’d probably want a destroyer, some power in the midfield, don’t have to spend much, just someone who Slot will actually play because he doesn’t like Endo clearly
And a winger, god we need a winger, coz it’s obvious he has something against Chiesa so we’re practically a man short, he won’t play Ekitike out wide, we’re having to shoehorn Wirtz out there, Gakpo can’t be a guaranteed Liverpool starter he needs competition badly. So I’d say Fofana or someone like Rodrigo who can play both flanks comfortably. (Even though I’d just like Fede to get more chances but slot ain’t going to play him so it’s back to the transfer market)
Ultimately though, we need to play better football, I genuinely think prime Messi struggles in this set up as it’s pretty clueless all round.

Our next signing needs to be a cb to partner VVD. I hope that Leoni will recover well and become long term VVD replacement.

I think we should target Felix Nmecha from Dortmund in January tbh. Solves a lot of our issues with the balance in midfield and he also counts as a Homegrown player which is very useful. From a depth perspective we need a CB, there's been some rumours about that Ordonez kid from Club Brugge being an option in January if Guehi isn't available.

Personally, Anderson. That kid fits the profile we need in a mobile midfield, IMO. And also a CB.

If it’s for a bit of fun I’d push the boat out for Bastoni or just pay what Palace want for Guehi then I’d put a cheeky bid in for Guimaraes and team Him back up with his mate Isak!
{Ed001's Note - it was never about the money for Palace. We were happy all summer to pay the fee they wanted but Glasner kept messing up their recruitment of replacements and throwing his toys out of his pram over the move.}

My mind changes on a daily basis, but based on the conditions that none of those PL players would be available in January, I would go with:
Joel Ordonez from Brugge to challenge Ibou. The other option would be Jeremy Jacquet but he is a little younger.
and
Luciene Agoume from Seville to replace Endo as a defensive midfielder that can pass, tackle and run. A cheaper alternative to Carlos Baleba with a very similar skillset and age.
I would have said Lamine Camara from Monaco as first choice but he will be off to AFCON so that doesn't help us.
I do think Nico Schlotterbeck would be transformative - like a left sided Trent - but I fear his injury record. I can definitely see the appeal though.

Guimaraes is a great shout! Still not sure about Guehi.
Sadly Bastoni will never move, he loves the food, lifestyle and climate too much.
Slot and his backroom staff need a quarterly performance review and to be given an absolute bo!0-king.

We have the two best centre forwards in Europe by a country mile Eki-Isak play them both in their natural positions as "TWIN" centre forwards.
"HA-HA"-land, Gykoeres, Pedro, Solanke, Eki-Isak are every team in Europe's dream front two, pity Slot cannot see this! but every other manager hopes and prays they never play together as the "Gruesome Twosome".
