I said a few weeks back i think Slot would be gone by xmas. Not because i'm in the know, but because its the logical thing to happen. It's also clear that Salah will be off as well in January based upon what he said in his interview. He's basically said he's off without actually saying it. Maybe he's chosen to be outspoken now because he's privy to that fact.
I wonder who the new interim would be? My moneys on Stevie G. Not saying that's what i want, but what other options are there? Dodgy Sam anyone? I just hope our next new full time manager is a proven winner at the highest level, and gets us playing how we should be. There's some real enviable talent in that squad but it's not being used in the right way. Hopefully the new man can fix it.
Out of the names mentioned, I don't know who i would prefer. What is people's preference and why?

There lies the problem, TIB. I've no idea who I would want to replace Slot, if/ when he goes. I keep flip flopping over whether he should stay or go, basically because there is no realistic, outstanding, available candidate.
As I've previously said, there is no Klopp/ Ancelotti as there was 10 years ago. And before that, when we appointed Rodgers, we were fishing in different waters. We are champions of England, we should be looking at appointing the very best.
Like I say, I flip/ flop. This morning I'm leaning towards him going. Where I do have a clear opinion is Salah was bang out of order. Me, me me. The Egyptian Sulk.

Slot won't be gone by Christmas.
Can you imagine having to spend it with the family?

Bulk, for me Stevie g is the only sensible option, he can keep us in the top six maybe top Four for the rest of the season, he is a scouser, knows the club inside out, would instill a lot more drive and energy into the squad,
He would know what players to leave out and bring in,
Its a no brainer that Slot and con ate need to leave the club,
Mo Salah Legend that he is and always will be, has to be sold in January to raise funds to bring in a much younger right winger,
Sadly Mo could have played his last game for liverpool,
We have wasted millions in the last transfer window, Isak being the main one plus not bringing in a quality centre back, it beggars belief that those at the top spent so much yet got so much wrong,

The best man for the job also seems to be the most unlikely, Luis Enrique.
The stars seem to be aligning towards an out of contract Ireola in the summer or Alonso if things don't go to plan at Madrid.
Interim wise i'd take anyone who can get us playing with energy and desire.

Anyone bar Arne.

Rome and Bulk, this is prolly why I think Slot may stay till the end of the season so the club can get their ducks in a row. Remember, BR kept his job not cos they wanted him to stay. They did cos they hadn't found their candidate.
As soon as they did, he was sacked the day before his last game at Everton, if I remember the Ed's saying so at the time. I believe it could come to this.

Anyone but Gerard.

Oli, that is not beyond the realms of possibility. It won't sit well with a lot of folk on here, but till there is dissent in the ground the club might just sit tight.
I don't get to many away games, but speaking to those that do, most of the stick is aimed at the players. That can obviously change. I go to most of the home games and up till now the fans haven't turned on the manager. Again, that can soon change. What an absolute mess we are in.

Gerrard isn’t the best man for the job at all. He doesn’t know the club inside and out, he has been at the club since Bodgers was here. His managerial experience is poor, last time he managed a premier league club he nearly got them relegated and it took Unai Emery to sort out the mess he left.
He hasn’t managed at any level since that debacle in Saudi, which he also failed at. Tactically he is inept and he has zero charisma or personality to try and lift the squad. It would just make a bad situation ten times worse. People need to stop being nostalgic and use their heads, not their hearts.

Well said, VV.

I get what you're saying Victor, but for me there are two lists for our next manager,
1st is one to get a grip on this team, and bring us back to a winning team, and until the end of the season,
2nd is a permanent manager who hopefully will take us back to winning the league and Champions league, and teams will hate playing us rather than loving playing us.

I just can't see slot still being here in the summer. Carra seemed to point to a trove of top talent that would drop everything to manage Liverpool. It will be interesting to see what pans out. I do agree with VV's points about stevie me though. He's not the answer but it wouldn't surprise me if it happened.

Rome, at least you get to go to games period. People like me may never see a game at Anfield. Like Ever.
Seriously tho, I agree with your points. We are in a very precarious position and on its face, I feel like we should rip everything up and start again in the summer.
And yeah like @Bulk, Stevie G should stay well away from the managerial position of my club.
