Ref was quite poor, I was surprised we got the pen as I thought they went to great lengths to disallow a fairly legitimate goal so it felt a bit stacked against us . That’s VAR all over though, different country same old .

I’m baffled as to why all the ‘experts’ are calling the penalty controversial. I’m not sure how much more blatant a shirt pull could be. It’s a penalty all day long.

I thought we were lucky with the pen but it made up for the incorrect decision for Konate goal.
A much better performance from us all round tonight and there looked a togetherness. One thing I will say is wirtz looks loads better these last few games and looks like he mite have bulked out a bit.

It was said that it would take a bit of time for the new players to integrate. Slot said he was signed for the next 5 years not the first month or so when he joined.
Personally, I like the 4-3-3 we look more solid and, I’ll say again, Konate looks a lot more solid with Joe playing RB.

You could be right Longthing. I remember reading somewhere that Wirtz has put on a lot of lean muscle since he joined us to cope with the physicality of the league. Not sure if it's true but he does look stronger now then when he first came in.

Only thing I'm upset about is how boring we were. The result can only make that bitter watch slightly more palatable.
I just don't understand how Slot has us so slow and toothless in attack and so fragile at the back. We've got a long way to go.

WDW does that mean we have to play a CB outside him from now on for him to perform? i don't mind the solidness Gomez has helped give but i'd prefer a Bradley type at RB all day long.
