You’re welcome….

Miles better mate. Especially when we had one of our attacking fullbacks on in Bradley.

Very very difficult game and came out unscathed because the formation suited the players for a change

Hard work and structure can get us out of this mess.

The biggest takeaway from this game for me is that all the hysteria and panic about the manager having lost the dressing room seems really overblown. I'm withholding judgment because I simply don't know enough (yet) about what's happening, but the evidence from last night is that the players are still willing to put in the hard yards for each other and for the manager. As far as I can tell, anyway.

Seems like until we have clarity we are in the unfortunate position of having half the posters on here calling for Slot's head and saying he's ruining the club, and the other half just proud/ glad to see the lads running themselves into the ground for the badge still. For me I'm just happy that I can ignore all the noise off the pitch and feel like my team is trying everything they can to win football games again.

Well said PB the main thing i saw is everyone looked more assured and comfortable last night, as boring as it was sometimes you just need a solid platform to build on. It will be an interesting few weeks to see how things play out.

Needs must mate. Virtually no wingers available and it suited Inter’s system.

10 Dec 2025 07:46:08
Inter are marginally better than West Ham.

10 Dec 2025 07:48:55
See that’s a perfectly acceptable cautious approach away in Europe, you just can’t do that at home to Sunderland.

10 Dec 2025 07:52:16
Think it helped inter were as inept tactically as we were. You take the win for sure and let’s hope everyone builds from here and turns things around.

Admittedly I didn't watch the game but Inter are one point off the top of Serie A mate. To say they are marginally better than West Ham is frankly an insult to them and the Italian league.

I am chuffed to hear that the players performed well and were still professional in carrying out their duties and role. But the real test is now to see if the penny has dropped for Slot in how he sets up his team or if he'd revert to what doesn't work. I thought we would turn the corner after playing AV and RM but he went reverted away from what worked then.

10 Dec 2025 08:13:32
Ah yes Rojack the Inter Milan that are third 1 point behind 1st. haven’t lost at home in a while I believe, oh and where last years finalist. being compared to West Ham wow ??.

10 Dec 2025 09:07:25
Inter made the champions league final with this squad last year. Do you think that west ham would have?

I don't know if it was miles better cos the issues we have been having was still there. It's all good to play a diamond. The problem with that was that we had no width from the full backs to support both strikers as they were very isolated. That's not going to work vs Sunderland nor Brentford in the PL; It simply won't but that's another topic.

I agree that we showed some steel and mental toughness to work back for each other and we fought hard (playing some good stuff in patches, btw) BUT we got to be able to challenge teams out on the perimeter (out wide) . Stretch them out so the gaps on the inside can open. That's all Im saying. Good win for the boys. Onto Brighton.

10 Dec 2025 09:16:46
I thought you all knew, if we lose it’s because we’re crap and if we win it’s because the opposition are crap.

I thought this was common knowledge?

10 Dec 2025 09:31:19
Playing that way away to Inter in the CL is OK, however, playing that way at home to Leeds in the Prem is off base. Slot's vision for the game in the prem is not working and last nights result does not change that.

10 Dec 2025 09:41:20
Both our starting wingers were out, one because he took himself out of the game and one was injured, chiesa was out ill as well and you guys complain about our width. Clearly slot was trying to make do with what we had and tried to create in another way, we pretty much abandoned the flanks until Conor came on.

I'm pretty sure this isn't the blueprint for what we will do going forward.

10 Dec 2025 10:33:01
PatrikBurgher we've been playing this new vision of Slots in the Prem all season, and it does not work . It is not front footed or robust enough, and Slot needs to look beyond.

We have been rubbish in the league since after the spurs game last season.

10 Dec 2025 11:16:56
Dont let the fact we had no wingers available stop ye having a good moan about lack of width??. Even our most attacking fullback was on the bench because he's been eased back after injury.

The issue here is, we will play the exact same way on the weekend and get battered because anyone who watched Ydays game would come to the conclusion that inter did nothing all game, and neither did we for a large part, we deserved to win because we were the only ones actually trying and that ‘handball’ goal should have never been disallowed, I don’t think it was a pen either but that equalled itself out and we rightly won 1-0 in a dire match.

Logic would determine that results will continue to be inconsistent and negative for the most part based on the performance and all the things happening behind the scenes. Is the media overblowing it? Yes, we are Liverpool, only united and Arsenal get as many or more hits when things go tits up. But is there smoke to this fire, 100% yes. We have a formula now that will not work in most games, so people suddenly thinking things will be better after one result are extremely unrealistic based on what we’ve seen. People just need to take it one game at a time and understand the likelyhood is, we see changes soon and we will most likely fall out of competitions early and just miss out on top 4.

Manage expectations people! It’s like the people that thought ‘wait until we click into gear and get it right’ at the start of the season when it was clear to see it was going to go the other way and we were waiting to get battered…just didn’t expect it to be as bad as it’s become.
